Hyrule Warriors Direct (NA & JP) - August 4th @ 11pm EDT / August 5th @ 05:00 CEST

how many Zelda fans would pick this game up if it had a 5 minute video featuring the land and mountains of Zelda U on the disc?

just a bird's eye flight view for 5 whole minutes :D

exclusive must beat the game to unlock

They play it like Zone of the Enders with the MGS2 demo: Hyrule Warriors comes with a Zelda U demo.

Well, I'd certainly be even more likely to buy it.

I really want more Zelda U news, it's driving me insane.

I'm surprised but also confused by all these Hyrule livestreams/directs and so on.
I just hope they'll confirm villains as playable and Ganondorf different incarnations. Plus, a LE for the West (with the Lana artbook)

Hmm... I doubt we'll get a villain campaign, I don't really see that hapening, unfortunately. But playable villains needs to happen.

***

Not sure what to expect from tomorrow's stream. They did tease a new character (unless my Japanese skillz has failed me?), but what about this Direct? It's WW, so there's definitely something big in there.

is THIS big enough!?!?!?

Woah wait what? What happened during the nico nico stream?

Edit: Nothing!? Well boy am I glad I didn't stay up for that.

Edit2: Holy hell why is this Direct so late?

Finger crossed for Collector's Edition for NA.

A very "kawaii" girl from Morning Musume came to play the game.

There's also another live stream, with new gameplay this time, tomorrow at 6.30AM for ya I believe (EST, correct?).

I've never played a Dynasty/Samurai Warriors game, so can anyone tell me what the point in these games are. Does every character have some kind of story mode? Let's say I want to 100% the game, what would I need to do?

I just hope we get the triforce clock that Japan gets (not so worried about the scarf.)

Hyrule warriors getting into pikmin 3 levels of too much info before release

Only if it would be half as good as Pikmin 3.

And at list it doesn't get all the "Wii graphics" threads that Pikmin 3 got after each stream. I still remember those every time I play the gorgeous game that Pikmin 3 is.

CHOO-CHOO

OMGOMGOMG

I thought it would've made sense to have a general direct with HW shown briefly with a specific direct shown a few days after similar to W101. I wonder if they're moving away from general directs.

Don't know if I'll stay up for this. I don't have anything to do the next day so 4AM isn't impossible but I mightn't be bothered enough seeing as it's specific to one game.

7 in the morning? Well I guess I'll have to wake up the moment my alarm goes off. Pity I didn't get a chance to play this at Hyper Japan, but the queues were beyond ridiculous.

Hmmm, 10pm at night seems a very strange time to have a direct. But, it works perfectly with my scheduling. I'm guessing I didn't miss much from the stream last night?

Come one Nintendo, I'm on the line right now. Forcefully shove me onto your side. Don't make me fall in the not going to purchase territory.

Based L~A keeping his Nintendawgs informed!

Hyrule Warriors is a very cool looking game design wise, but I wonder how much depth it will offer; so far, the non-attacking enemies are the biggest problem I'm seeing with this title, it seems like the game waits for you to perform your attacks which can become boring pretty quick.

Let's hope they'll show some difficulty; and yeah, I really hope to see Mr. Iwata again even though I assume he's still resting.

Enemies not attacking is a thing Warriors games do on lower difficulty.

Even then, it's less that they don't attack and more that they surround you and send in one guy at a time until an officer gets there to challenge you.

That goes out the window the moment you get into the higher difficulties.

Scarf made me think 4th Doctor. Then I had a vision: Gallifrey Warriors. All the Doctors. All the companions. Armies of Daleks, Cybermen, Slitheen, Autons, Drashigs, Sontarans, Wirrn, Wolfweeds, Cheetah People, Gelth, Sycorax, Adipose, Atraxi, ... the list goes on and on (thanks, Wikipedia). Koei Tecmo and the BBC need to sit down and talk.

And I probably need to get my hat. XD
