Remember the special costumes for Hyrule Warriors, that you could get for pre-ordering the game at some retailers? Well, according to the official website they're finally going to be available for purchase next month, at least in Japan.

Link costumes will cost 400 Yen
Zelda costumes will also cost 400 Yen
Ganondorf costumes will cost only 300 Yen (only 2 costumes, and not 3 like Zelda / Link).

Costumes in question:

I expect EU and NA release to be on the same day. Price should (hopefully) be lower, like the DLC packs.

Glad to see they're finally releasing them... wonder what took them so long, though.
So gonna buy them all.

They're bundling them by character and not by game like the pre-orders? That really sucks.

Pretty sure they were bundled by character even for pre-orders?... Actually, I believe that's just Japan.

But it's just for Japan, EU and NA details are yet to be confirmed. Pretty sure they'll have bundles by characters in the West, since that's how they did it.

Pretty sure they were bundled by character even for pre-orders? I got the Ganondorf costumes by registering the game on Club Nintendo.

The Link/Zelda ones were bundled per game (OoT, TP and SS)

The Ganondorf costumes were bundled by character, but the retailer-specific Link and Zelda costumes got bundled by game.

Finally, they weren't any pre-order costumes on Amazon.fr
But I don't know if I'll buy them, already got plenty of those, hope they will be cheap.

Do any of you notice how the Twilight Princess costumes are centered? There seems to be much more Twilight Princess than any other game in Hyrule Warriors, which is good because it was my favorite Zelda game. Maybe the Wii U Zelda will have something to do with TP?

The reason there's such an emphasis on TP is because that's the producers (or it might have been the directors) favorite Zelda game.

I think its more likely that it's because it is the middle game in terms of releases

They should really make these purchasable from Club Nintendo with rewards coins. Then I'd finally have something to buy with my coins.

Hm, I already have the best (Skyward Sword) Zelda costume. I also like Link's default costume with the blue scarf in this game so I don't think I need to buy any of the other pre-order bundles.

I'd be cool with this too.

Kinda sucks that they are bundled through characters instead of game since the pre-order bonuses were that way :/

As I've mentionned a few posts ago: it's just for Japan, as that's how the DLC was made available to begin with. Nintendo did things differently in the West (aka: bundle by game).

Not really surprising tbh, it's on par with the preorder/collector costumes for DoA5 for example (and probably other KT games). Lasts long enough so the ones who preordered have some sense of exclusivity, and released quickly enough so there's still people playing the game wanting to buy them.
