The only problem with this great show is that there's always a subplot that no one in their right mind should care about. Last year it was Kim and relationship stuff, now it's the kid

The only problem I have with the show is that they obviously have no consultant discussing with them what is and is not plausible in terms of technology. "THERE'S A DISTURBANCE ON THE INTARNET." Really? Really?
 
I fortunately got back in time to see the second hour, so I'll have to stay away from this thread until I view the entire episode. :)

Tis' true, but I always critique the show hard because it's my all time favorite television show. So any things I determine are problems I like to mention :lol

Yeah, and that's why most of the viewer complaints are about a lack of Jack, and the amount of silly stories they can get into. Oh well.

Hey, I complained about certain things last season as well. There's always one thing that irks me more than anything else. First it was Nina always coming back, then it was Kim's stupid freakin' sidequests, then it was a little too much traveling and the biology last season, and now it's the technology :P
 
The thing that bugged me last season was Chase. Jack didn't need a sidekick. They tried to turn it into a buddy flick for a while there. But I guess the change of pace was good, b/c now I am really digging this season already. I like solo, renegade Jack. It's no coincidence Season 2 is my favorite, so I hope for more of that this season. I like that they're telling the story from the terrorist's POV this time around too. PEACE.
 
Ya know, I liked Palmer as a character and some of the stuff I found really gripping (obviously the assasination and the whole removal from office thing) but sometimes his whole "political conspiracy" plotlines seemed to drag a bit.
 
Awesome episode, I liked this episode way better than Season 3 already. And what's up with Debbie, my goodness, what a psychotic bitch.

I thought tonight's episodes kicked ass once again. The first hour was a little slow during the middle parts (but that's just part of the character development, I spose) but I thought that
internet beheading broadcast
at the end of the second hour was an interesting take on the shit's that's been happening in real life.

Jack's back and kicking some major ASS!! I hope this show don't get cancelled though, I heard it's not doing so well in the ratings. *sniffles*

The last 1:15 that I saw shat all over most of season 3, so this season is well ahead of schedule for kicking ass.

I agree w/ Pimpwerx about season 2 being the best. The show works best when Jack is the lone wolf.

jenov, there's little chance that the show will get cancelled. It does well for the 18-35 demographic and sells like mad on DVD.

A show which consists of a constant storyline followed over 24 hours suck because the first 15 minutes of setup isn't good enough? Does that make any sense?

Just watch and enjoy. The first episodes of a 24 premiere are usually slow until the last 10 minutes.

season 2 is also my fav. season 3 just plain sucked. this season already walks all over season 3 and its only 2 hours so far. bauer-style interrogation is just damn funny! remember in season 1 when he was gonna
force a wet towel down that guys throat?

Finnaly saw it (west coast). T'was awesome, had my whole family watch it (dad, mom, brothers and sisters) they are hooked (also watching my season 1 dvd which they havent finished). I am loving this so much.
 
WOOOOO!! I was a little put-off at first. Jack had gone soft -- all fucking lovey dovey. Then he busts up the guard and shoots the Turk in the leg, within two minutes!

Heller's son made me laugh. He really was the typical left-wing crackpot that doesn't have a fucking clue.

Wow, just finished watching it. What a great start... almost as crazy as the first few eps of season 2. I can't believe Jack got owned by Ronnie... he really must be rusty.

How long has it been since season 3? I think they said he got fired from CTU a year and a half ago... so I'd guess at least two years.

Can't wait for tomorrow night.

The dialogue in tonight's episode said 1 1/2 years I believe, so yeah probably around 2 years
