I don’t think any game coming out within the next year will be visually better than Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores will look better.

All these pics from horizon dont do the game any justice, in motion on a good big tv, its absolutely gorgeous, there were times where you can easily tell that its cross gen, but more often than not, it made you forget that

As someone who isn't even into the Horizon games that much, FW looks beyond stunning.

Sometimes you just gotta accept that something looks amazing, even if you aren't into it as much as other games.

The Horizon DLC will probably also be the best looking game next year too.

Don't see anything topping it until a ND single player game.

Maybe Spider-Man 2.
Perhaps. But pound for pound, guerilla vs insomniac in a PS5-only game showdown I still have my money on guerilla.

However, spiderman 2 was built from the ground up for PS5 from day 1, this Horizon DLC is borrowing assets heavily from forbidden west which was cross gen.

So you're probably right

Insomniac are still one of the few devs that have successfully not only implemented Ray Tracing in their games but RT at 60fps

The game tragically came out a week before Elden Ring, it really never stood a chance. It really didn't help that from what I hear, the story was a step down from the first. It's a shame because it's one of the most visually impressive games to date, and I'm sure the gameplay is fun enough. It was just a really bad decision to not move the game's release date by a couple of months or so.

It wouldn't matter. Horizon has pretty bad writing, narrative structure and design philosophy.
