With the way the industry is going could anyone disagree? Even if it's first announced next gen it will quietly be an old gen game on PS4 and Xbox One.

Rockstar lost their top guys, they don't care about anything but GTA online profits and they'll just want to keep that tasty, tasty gravy train going on as many platforms as possible for as long as they can.

It's all about the profits and bigger markets for them now.

No way the current installed base is large enough, so they can launch it on current gen Consoles and PC alone. If it happens i won't buy it, and that will teach them. hehehe

That's actually good news. A lot of people are still on those platforms and there's good money to be made there. It's best for everybody on this planet to keep all that hardware out of our landfills for as long as possible.
 
No, and It's going to be massive, awesome and a game changer for open world games as every GTA game before it. I don't know how people in this forum are talking like Rockstar ever fucked up something related to GTA before (collection was not made by Rockstar), but is not going to happen now.

RDR2 took 8 years to make, so it was in development before the PS4/XBO gen, and when it came out it was the most visually mind blowing open world created, especially as a multiplatform game. Rockstar is a massive studio, they new GTA will deliver in the visual department for sure. The other aspects of the game are the ones that can be up for discussion.

Right now. But in 2 to 3 years from now.
PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series and PC is more than enough.
 
Wasn't Rockstar the one pushing for SSD in the new consoles? I mean it would be really stupid if the game is announced 2 years later to be released a year after on PS4/Xbox
 
GTA 5 Online is barely holding on as is on PS4, XBO. Many graphical glitches, bugs, etc.

...this is after the current gen version update, DLC.....

No. The old hardware can't do anything more that hasn't already been done. And by 2024-2025 when the game is released there will be a non existent active installed base on old consoles so it's pointless from all point of views.

I already called it in the other thread when Jason revealed that it started dev in 2014. Of course its last gen trash. We have seen games start dev in 2020 and target last gen. This game started dev at the start of last gen.

GigaBrowser is the only sane person in this thread. EVERYONE should be depressed that we are getting last gen trash in 2025 when Take2 said this game will release.
