I hope Sony doesn't focus too much on connectivity with PS3

Between PSP and PS3. I can see Sony pulling a "Nintendo" and trying to
connect the two in order to leverage sales.

Trying to make one of the big selling points of the PS3 be all the nice features it gives you when you hook it up with your a PSP.

It seems like something Sony would do.

No that's something Nintendo did.

As long as its an EXTRA and not unlocking content that was already there or a main focus of the game, its fine. That's where Nintendo fucked up.

im hoping for an adapter thatll let you run psp games on the tv, but that would probably be an eyesore. the ps3 better utilize ms duos for their saves, that way this i wont need to buy any memory cards when the 2 gig duo comes out.

yeah it's not bad to have extras but I'd like it to support a more general format. Nothing PSP specific so you dont HAVE to have a PSP to use certain features.

It would be cool if you could use your PSP as a remote. I can't really understand why they would add IR to the PSP if not, but I guess we'll see.

Did anyone get the PSP survey recently?

It had a few questions about connectivity. Asked if we wanted stuff like unlockables via connectivity, being able to transfer saves (I think), using the PSP as a controller or as anohter display, or being able to save replays onto the PSP and show the replay to others on the PSP

It'd be cool if the PSP could be plugged in as a controller; where designers would also exploit the screen on the PSP for extra functionality...

It'll be there, most likely, but I doubt it'll be the overriding concern that it was to Nintendo at one stage. I think it could be more multimedia than just games also...

Wasn't there a patent from Sony discussing possibilities for home console-to-handheld hookups?
