the staff dont get paid less than minimum wage. The waiters do, and the waiters still get paid minimum wage if their tips dont add up to minimum wage which they almost always do. In fact, waiters make way more than minimum wage which is why they stick with waiting instead of going out there and getting other higher paying retail jobs.
This isn’t a restaurant. It’s a bagel / coffee shop man. I’ve worked in the industry before and know how much tips can mean. I can afford it.
