Well, I guess it sold out pretty quick then. It was still in-stock when I posted the link. Sorry.

Weird. I guess the combo deal with the MB is still available?

Also, if you dropped your 4770K to a 4670K, added in a GTX 780, you'd be better off. That's a hair over the $50 though. I'd say R9-290, but those really need some non-reference coolers.
My math:
$50 extra + $100 savings on proc = $150 to play with.
That'd put you $50 shy of the 780, $50 over the 290, but the 290 doesn't have non-reference coolers yet.
In all honesty, I think he might be fine with an i5 rig with a big HDD (1TB minimum), at least 8GB of RAM, and a workstation graphics card, but I'm not familiar enough with any of that stuff to be certain.
Only you can answer that really.I think i would only save 50 because I'm getting the processor for 250.
But forget about that, is spending 200 more on a video card worth it right now? I think the i7 is worth is because I won't have to upgrade for a long time.
I think Tom's Hardware has a few articles on them, so you could look there. That's what I was thinking but it's the workstation graphics cards where I'm out of my depth.
since the case I'm looking at can take a 240mm top mounted radiator, any reason not to pick up the corsair H100i for my 4770k?
EDIT: the refurb at corsair for $60 to be exact
OCZ just filed for bankruptcy. Looks like Toshiba is buying most of their assets.
I've never seen much out of them on either Cyber Monday or Black Friday. Mostly old stock they discount heavily, maybe a good deal on a keyboard, mouse, or SSD.Will Newegg have separate deals for Cyber Monday? Never shopped during this season.

Newegg's Black Friday deals are up, and they're nothing special..
Chapter 1: i5 4670k in-house. Now, the waiting game begins. UGH.
been on my desk for a week lol:
any thoughts on an open box asus 760 for $207?
Buy the 670 that someone posted for $200 instead. It's slightly faster.

And you need SLI profiles, yada yada yada. Rule of thumb, don't SLI when the performance is possible with a single GPU.Asus is going to make a ROG GTX 760 that is tested to be faster than a Titan. It will feature 4GB of ram and has two 760 chips on the same PCB.

Yeahhhh, but that kind of deal can be found weekly.Well, I did just get 16GBs of G.Skill Xrippers for 99.99, which I'm pretty happy about.

G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory operating voltage of 1.6V exceeds the Intel Haswell CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.
Is it when there is something going on, like in gaming or cursor movement? So I recently borrowed a dell 2408wfp and got it calibrated with a Spyder so the colors seem to look decent enough but the screen itself is quite dirty. Any tips on how to clean it? Not sure how to explain exactly, kind of looks like blur lines. Screen itself is still very sharp and all that.
Are there any good SSD deals for $150-100 USD that have been leaked or announced?

NoRéN;91567378 said:There will be a few. Last year the cheapest I saw was for a kingston for $135. $150 for 240-156gb seemed to be the going rate. There's been deals for 256gb ssd for $150 already so I'm sure some good deals will show up again.
Hoping for an Evo for $150 myself.
is there anything to keep an eye out for with SSD's that make one better/worse than another?
Hopefully this is a good place to ask... A bit of a niche problem considering the ethos of the thread:
SNIP.
