First off, you guys rock for all the help and advice you give. I'm looking to do a partial upgrade soonish and could use some advice.
Current Specs:
I'm looking to replace:
E8400
P5Q Pro
4GB DDR2
OCZ600
I'm thinking to keep for now
2x 500GB HDD
128GB SSD
GeForce GTX 650 OC 1100MHZ 1GB 5.0GHZ GDDR5 (upgrade from last year, yes I know it didn't fit the rest of it

)
I'm using Windows 7 but my hope is to keep my current license and then upgrade to 10 later.
Parts I would consider splurging for if it makes sense: Video Card and Case. My current case is fugly but functional.
Budget:$700-800 in Canada
Main Use: Gaming of all types. No video editing.
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080. I'm not looking to upgrade soon.
I've never had a top end PC to run games really well, so I won't demand any games run at a certain IQ, but I do like to be able to run games well on 'default' settings. 30fps or more, on High quality or better.
I have no deadline for building, but it probably won't happen until early April.
Will you be overclocking?: No, never gotten into it, not sure what I'd be doing.
I did a quick pass through part picker and came up with this:

Edit: Also wondering virtues of things like i7-4790K over the i5-4690k for the extra cost.
