We're getting (back) there. It might be a while before you see US$0.20/GB but there's a few options back in the US$0.26 range. The drive I linked to is 30% more expensive than your target but PCPP price history shows it was about US$200 last summer.
Basically no, it's not too much to ask - it's just hard to tell whether we are weeks or months or years from prices going down to where we want them.
I'm having a hard time telling if SSD prices are still rising or dropping. Seems a bit back-and-forth right now. My hope is that between now and Christmas we'll see a sale on a 1 TB SSD that is <$230 or so at which point I'll probably jump on it. Would sure beat my 5400 RPM HDD for working with my video editing/rendering. I'm optimistic that I'll find a deal by/on Black Friday.
