I will copy its contents below. Be as Indepth in your responses thoughts as possible, please. Note: Edelgard was my first playthrough, but I ended up not liking her at all by the half point. I fully admit two things: I wanted to like her and ended up valuing Rhea more. it's weird how opinion works. I decided to ask an Ai because I am not that smart apparently.
EDIT: This topic will contain spoilers for 3 houses.
The pivotal moment would be Edelgard's decision to confide in Rhea about the Agarthans, also known as Those Who Slither in the Dark. Instead of launching a war, Edelgard would present evidence of their manipulation and the threat they pose to both the Empire and the Church of Seiros. This would require a significant shift in Edelgard's character, moving away from her initial distrust and animosity towards the Church. She would need to recognize Rhea as a potential ally against a common enemy.

Initial Revelation and Alliance
Here's how a "golden route" in Fire Emblem: Three Houses might unfold if Edelgard revealed the Agarthans' plot to Rhea, and they collaborated to reform Fódlan:The pivotal moment would be Edelgard's decision to confide in Rhea about the Agarthans, also known as Those Who Slither in the Dark.
Strategic Collaboration and Military Actions
Rhea, in turn, would have to be receptive to Edelgard's information. This would be a challenge, given Rhea's inherent distrust of the Empire and her deep-seated fear of the Agarthans. However, the evidence presented by Edelgard, coupled with the shared goal of protecting Fódlan, could convince Rhea to set aside her prejudices. This alliance would be fragile, built on mutual respect and a shared understanding of the Agarthan threat. With the alliance formed, the focus would shift to dismantling the Agarthan influence. This would involve:
The alliance would also focus on reforming Fódlan's political and social structures. This would involve:
Political and Social Reforms
- Intelligence Gathering: Edelgard and Rhea would pool their resources to gather intelligence on Agarthan activities. This would include identifying their bases, uncovering their agents, and understanding their plans.
- Joint Military Operations: The Empire and the Church would coordinate military actions against the Agarthans. This would involve targeting their strongholds, disrupting their supply lines, and eliminating their key leaders. The combined forces of the Empire and the Church would be a formidable force, capable of overwhelming the Agarthans.
- Public Awareness: Both Edelgard and Rhea would work to educate the public about the Agarthan threat. This would involve dispelling misinformation, promoting unity, and fostering a sense of shared purpose.
Key Changes in Events
- Meritocracy: Edelgard's vision of a meritocratic society would be implemented, but with Rhea's input. This would involve abolishing the crest-based nobility system and promoting individuals based on their skills and abilities.
- Religious Reform: Rhea would be open to reforming the Church of Seiros to make it more inclusive and less dogmatic. This would involve addressing the Church's historical biases and promoting religious tolerance.
- Economic Development: The Empire and the Church would collaborate on economic development projects to improve the lives of the people. This would involve investing in infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
- Diplomacy: The alliance would engage in diplomacy with other nations, such as the Leicester Alliance, to foster peace and cooperation.
Challenges and Potential Conflicts
- The War: The war between the Empire and the Church would be averted. Instead, the two factions would work together to combat the Agarthans.
- The Death of Key Characters: Characters like Jeralt, who are killed in the original game due to Agarthan machinations, would likely survive.
- The Fate of the Black Eagles: The Black Eagles would likely remain united, working alongside Edelgard and Rhea.
- The Ending: The ending would be a unified Fódlan, free from the Agarthan threat, with a meritocratic society and religious tolerance.
The "Golden Route" Outcome
- Distrust: Overcoming the deep-seated distrust between the Empire and the Church would be a constant struggle.
- Ideological Differences: Disagreements over the pace and scope of reforms could strain the alliance.
- Internal Opposition: Both Edelgard and Rhea would face opposition from within their own factions.
- Agarthan Resistance: The Agarthans would not surrender easily. They would likely launch counterattacks and attempt to sow discord.
