This game needs not just a remake, but epic remake.
They lost the source code. Unfortunately won't happen unless it is remade 100% from the ground up

AJUMP23

Parody of actual AJUMP23
The Wing Commander series in total. 1-4

I would do all animated characters and replace the live action stuff for consistency throughout all the games.

Was gonna say Bloodborne, but a PC version with 120fps and high res would do just fine.

So for the all-new built remake:
Little Samson (one of my NES favourites)

I assume its coming at this point. But it has always been Metal Gear Solid.

If it's something with less hope?
Probably Dino Crisis or Twisted Metal 2/Black

Honestly, I can't help thinking how amazing a Titanfall 2 remake would be. Pristine remake would be just fuckin marvellous. I don't want much, just this.

Gunparade March, I'm trying my best to will this into existence. I mean, there's no way it can get a licensed figure (two months ago) out of nowhere when any other *completely* dead Sony IP never gets stuff like this, right?

If you start spreading misinformation on twitter about it, it may actually happen...😅

Vagrant Story that's a good shout.

Love the game but the battle system would need to be optimized since some things were obtuse when it came to the battle system. And fix that Final Boss, that guy was a pain to beat

What’s the point of HD 2D though…
It’s still the same game. And Vagrant story in 2D ??

I want full 3D remakes faithfully done à la Trials of Mana, but with more budget.

Earthbound and CT in 3D would be so good.

Nah I want them in HD-2D. 3D Remakes only work if there is a proper big budget behind them. Look at Final Fantasy VII Remake games. I might not like them but graphically looks great

Blooooooodboooooorne

Terrible iq, forced chromatic aberration, frame pacing issues, locked 30fps, no ps4 pro or ps5 improvements (something ds3 got)

The game could use a remaster or remake. Hell, I would even take a port if it meant 4k/60fps

I played that recently on my PS4 and I hardly noticed any graphical glitches and I had a gaming PC that's around PS5 Level specs wise

It does Even on a bad TV, the art direction and overall presentation look as good as ever. I don't understand why some people say otherwise or that it's unplayable because of the framerate. I still hold onto hope that we'll hear something around the 10th anniversary next year. If there's nothing around then... :messenger_pensive:

Well Law of Diminishing Returns is a thing for me especially. I still game on my PS4 and everything still looks great to me. Also that recent study that gamers are starting to play older games more than newer games, not only from the PS4 Era but even from PS3/PS2/PS1 Era just tells me lot of gamers aren't happy with the current gen. I most of the time play older games myself
Came here to post Xenogears

I would be down for this if it was HD-2D and they fixed those stupid platforming segments. Remember Tower of Babel?

Now Eternal Darkness would be an awesome Remake. Make it a launch title for Switch 2. It's the first horror game I ever played. I remember getting the black GameCube with this game when it first came out during the summer of 2002. I just graduated highschool and all I did that summer was play my GameCube and all the games I got for it. Eternal Darkness is still my favorite horror game

As for Shadow Man, I would be down for a full blown 3D Remake. The game has aged badly when it comes to graphics and I always wanted to play it. But my worry is would they censor the remake?

But those bring nothing new to the table. What's the point ? Aside for someone who didn't play those back in the day.

And I repeat, Vagrant Story in 2D HD ?? Why do you want that :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Are you saying the Star Ocean 2DHD remake isn't worth playing aswell?.

Not everything needs to be a full on $150m mega big budget remake to be a great remake.

I'm not saying that, but ultimately it's still largely the same game with a new paint of coat.

In 3D the game could have new gameplay. Look at Trials of Mana, made on a tiny budget. Imagine what they could achieve with a real budget on 2D to 3D games.

There's so, so many games that are far much better in any and every way possible than the one I'm about to mention.

Me personally, I wouldn't even ask for a remake, I'd rather just be able to go back in time in order to be able to not just enjoy the game but more than anything else, to appreciate those that were around me, so this one's for those that are gone.

Fun times we had not knowing we were actually happy... Life's so fucked up.

Not a single remake hasn't disappointed me in one way or another. Wether it's visually or mechanically, they always stray too far from what made the original great.

So I'm more than happy to play the originals one more time instead 😁

I choose DQ IX. The game itself had some meat to it but, and many will disagree, it was severely held back by technology. The characters were very blocky, and the FOV on the world map was very small. The always-on map helped mitigate this, but it was still annoying to not see very far around you.

The story, the world created for the game, battle system, the insane amount of gear you could acquire, the game had it where it counts, but from time to time it just became a chore to play.

A proper remake would make this game come to life.
