what do yo guys wear?
i'm looking for something sleek, metallic. minimal would be good, but not to the point where i'd have to use a magnifying glass to figure out the time.

i'm talking something like that, price isnt that much of an issue. but surely there are other brands besides movado. and that watch is more style over substance, i need something more useful than that. you know, that actually tells time!
i really like the seiko kinetics, always have. but there are so many different models that i'm not sure what to look at.

Whoa. That's actually a nice looking watch. I wonder if the lack of numbers would be a problem though. I'm kinda dippy.
it is very nice isnt it? movados are just lovely, very stylish. and yes, lack of numbers would be a problem for a casual guy like me.
guess, thanx...exactly the type im looking for.

The Movado Juro is fucking pimp tight. I got the watch about 6 months ago and I love it. The watch is actually a bit smaller than you might think.

Man it up and buy this watch!

My next watch:

I'm a huge fan of "complications", the internal dials. I usually prefer a large face with all the numbers (no roman numerals or blank faces) but I'll make an exception.

I got this one for my boyfriend last Christmas. :)

Only the one I got him had brushed mettal and had an inscription that said "Love 'insert my name here'". I AM SO DAMN ROMANTIC I MAKE MYSELF HORNY LOOKING AT THE MIRROR! :D

Tag Heuer Exclusive Mens Watch (Quarts Movement).

Tags are pretty nice. The metal band is very soft on the skin, double clasp strap so it's extra secure, saphire scratch resistant glass, low battery indicator. pretty standard.

you can get a chronograph for a bit extra but I wanted a simple looking watch.

I would have preffered an Automatic but i liked the blue face on it.

8.5 out of 10

I've always been a big fan of Skagen Watches... good, durable, sleek, entry level watches which take a stroll into nice luxury every once in awhile... great to wear with any type of dress... turns heads while still leaving you the ability to not care too much if you lose it/damage it.

TAGs have already been mentioned... but you may want to look into Omega Watches as well. More pricey, more luxurious, but a wide range of prices that really can meet anyone's needs. I know a few people with Omegas who are very happy... but the same can be said about those friends of mine who wear TAGs. Can't go wrong with either.

If price is no object... moving away from Rolex (one of my personal favorites)... I'll move to my absolute favorite: Cartier (check this site out). The most classic of their watches is, of course, the Tank... having inherited one... there are few watches that scream more style and class than this one... simply put... a winner.

The watch that I have my eye on is the Roadster, which boasts not just the Cartier name, but also, the ability to be worn casually and business/dress-wise as well. I'm a big fan of watches that kind of sneak up on you... this one is it. Heavy, practical, beautiful... there isn't much more you could ask for in a watch...

...I need a commission fast.

Hope this helps slightly!

I love my Fossil watch. Check out their inventory, there's a lot of choices... one has to work for you.

Why can't you buy a cheap watch and be done with it? Do you want to know the time or want something to improve your status symbol?

:p

That's my watch, only mine has a black face. Good watch, wears well and looks handsome in any circumstance.

the precious, aka Fossil watch by Philippe Starck

Holy fookin' crap, what's the MSRP on that thing? that's my next watch, going to get my mom to pick it up overseas. Can I get a model number for it too?

I've had my Seiko Kinetic for like 5 years now, It's nice and all but I need an upgrade. And that watch is too damn sexy not to want.

i'd love to get a pocket watch, but that'd only be good for dinner parties!
i have a question, how come online retailers can offer the same watch for so much cheaper than macy's or other similar stores?

Pocket watches aren't PARTICULARLY in yet... but they are coming back.

You need to be someone special in order to pull it off.

But they are... well... timeless ;)

:(

Guess that makes it even less likely that I'd be able to find it in Canada. Bah.

There's a fossil store in my local mall (at least I'm pretty sure that's what it is), I'll check it out next week.

I use a pocket watch I got on clearance for ten bucks at Target. It tells the time, and I ain't some sissy that worries about my f'ing jewelry. Not to mention I'm a lunk and prone to physical abuse; so it's good that I don't have something on my wrists that can catch in machinery or equipment, or impair my movement when I'm working.

Pocket Watch > Wrist Watch! :p

I have a nice enough Timex Waveceptor (Atomic), digital/analog. I don't see how people can use only analog displays, takes way too long to get the exact time. Digital you look, you know. You get elegance, cause digital look like shit, but it's not as efficient.

I got mine for $60, but it is scratched to hell. I imagine it'd be near impossible to find a sub $200 watch that didn't scratch.
