Improper citation or pronunciation of names that drive you insane

Gardevoir and Dusknoir

So many people pronounce it without the i. It's bizarre how much this has continued, it even sometimes happens on the official VGC streams now. I maybe understand for Gardevoir since the meaning may not be known, but Dusknoir?

Outside of Ryu (which does look like Rye-YOO), I don't understand how anyone can pronounce most of these wrong. Do people not know how to break words up for pronouncing?

And I just thought of a story: My friend thought Blizzard was Blizz-ZARD for years. Wtf.

Funnily enough, most people from my (mexican) town knowingly pronounce "Halo" wrong, pronuoncing it right mostly gets weird looks despite the fact that they know it's the right way, but the strangest thing is, the common used pronounciation ("Hah-Lo") is not even how a mexican would traditionally read the word since "reading it the mexican way" should make the H silent, so it's reading it wrong in either language.
