In-N-Out Burgers not coming east. Steak N Shake still secretly the best.

What the hell is an Animal Style Burguer and Fries? I've gone only once to an In N Out when I was in California (it was PACKED) and I certainly didnt order an Animal Style anything.

Also, I hate the name. What's so Animal Style about it?

it's a secret menu option, but one so well-known they have it in their system so they can charge you extra for it. Animal style fries are topped with spread, onions, and cheese, and animal style burgers are topped with spread (and onions?).

Shake Shack is alright but it's no In-N-Out.

Calling Five Guys "competition" is being very generous.

I'm a New Yorker. My wife grew up in San Fran and we typically travel there twice a year. I try to get In-N-Out every time. It. Is. So. Good.

Sigh.

Five Guys is over priced.

Steak N Shake is mediocre.

I had already mentioned Shake Shack, Ray's Hell Burger, Five Guys in this area and my original point was that those in addition to the designer burger places mean we don't need fucking In-N-Out.

A beef, chicken, or turkey burger on brioche or wheat bun with lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, sauteed onions, pickles, red onions, AND sauteed mushrooms is $8. That includes a sauce (chipotle aioli, cilantro lime, sriracha garlic, honey mustard, bbq sauce, grain mustard, buttermilk herb ranch or duke's mayo).

$8.75 if you add one of many types of cheeses.

The burgers are fucking massive and amazing.

In Dubai a Caliburger just opened, they seem to be a direct copy of In-N-Out

Haven't tried the real In-N-Out yet so can't compare, but the burgers at this place are just ok, I prefer five guys since the ones in UAE are actually nicer than the US.

Shake Shack's burger is good but their crinkle fries are wack
Five Guys is sloppy as fuck and expensive but they don't skimp on quantity, also free peanuts woo

Portillos has the same exact fries as Shacks, but I like them. I prefer handcut fries like Five Guys but like crinkle fries.

This place is a fucking scam. We have them in Seattle. Absolutely fucking NOTHING like In-N-Out and CLEARLY trying to copy their branding.

The spread is thousand island dressing.

Honestly there's nothing that amazing about In N' Out. The fries are awful but the burger's ok.
 
Shake Shack just opened literally next door to my apartment a couple months ago and oh lawd I didn't know what I was missing. Cheese fries are so good. The chicken is so good. I just wish they sold the chicken as chicken fingers.
