Fuddruckers is some overpriced garbage and the decor is the most basic-ass middle aged white guy shit ever. Cost like $50-60 for my family to eat yet the burgers were worse than Wendy's FFS.

All those places are at least twice as expensive as a In-N-Out, almost 3x for Five Guys. That's not even taking into consideration how generally everything is more expensive in CA, so who knows what any of those places would change if they were in SF or LA instead of the east coast.
You realize a Double Double is like $3.75? I don't care what kind of flavored mayo ("aioli") your burger comes with, it doesn't make it any more cost-worthy than In-N-Out's godlike spread sauce, which is also included in every burger, in addition to lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and chilies. Here's the thing, In-N-Out doesn't need to add a million sauces and toppings to their burgers for them to be good. You're free to order them pretty much any way you like (seriously) within the fresh and delicious ingredients offered.
Anyways, I'm glad you guys don't "fucking need" In-N-Out, because you're never getting it
In Dubai a Caliburger just opened, they seem to be a direct copy of In-N-Out
Haven't tried the real In-N-Out yet so can't compare, but the burgers at this place are just ok, I prefer five guys since the ones in UAE are actually nicer than the US.
Caliburger opened last year(?) in Pasadena. Been meaning to try it out, but every time I'm in the area, I go to my favorite pasadena burger spot instead, Pie 'n Burger, which has my favorite sit down burger.

I tried In N Out once. Too much lettuce, patty was tiny. Didn't really like it. It was cheap, but I'll never go again.
Five Guys is also pretty underwhelming.
Shake Shack is great though. Definitely the best burger fast food place in the states right now.

The buns are the best in chain burger joints. The patties are highly customizable even with wild game meats. The fries have great seasoning. They have a great bacon cheeseburger with avocado. And the decor is American rock and roll.

I forgot to post here again over the weekend but I went to Culver's for the first time and got a "Culver's Deluxe" fry and a drink...
I think I might be going there every time I'm in "the city" now and try more. I wish I tried Culver's sooner.

Steak 'n Shake? Culver's? Freddie's? Ehhh. I'm not a steakburger guy. The answer is still Five Guys. Although I just moved to a state with Cook Out in it and I'm reminded they're pretty okay. But not for burgers. I get the Cajun chicken sandwich, Cajun chicken wrap, Cajun fries, and a drink for my tray. I am a ragin' Irish Cajun.

Had Steak 'N Shake over the weekend. GodDAMN but that's a juicy burger, especially for the money. Fries weren't great tho, will definitely skip those next time.
Five guys has been terrible every time I've had it; and I've given it multiple chances. A bland, greasy, sloppy flavourless mess.
Wonder if it's a regional thing.. They're delicious here (Utah) and not overly greasy.

I love Steak and Shake, but I'd take an In n Out over a Steak and Shake. West Coast remains the best coast.
Culvers is pretty good too, and all over the place. Freddies, too. I think I actually like Freddys more than Steak and Shake.
Freddy's is probably my favorite.

This is basically how I feel about it. A lot of In-n-Out's appeal is price
roduct ratio, it's not the most amazing burger you could ever eat but for the price it's really damn good, but compared to Five Guys, it slaughters it in both categories. I've given 5G multiple opportunities to win me over at multiple locations and both times it was bland and overpriced, I don't see how people even bring it up in the same conversation.
I'm guessing that the very reason why In-n-Out won't go east is the same reason why 5G tastes like shit in the west. Maybe it's better back in its home turf, I'll give it a shot when I visit the east coast sometime.
They're amazing in Florida, Nebraska, and Illinois, too.
