It's kind of weird, they have 2 sets of low recommended and ultra specs, but some of them are kinda odd.Was about to talk shit about how nobody actually states what Minimum, Recommended, and Ultra even means but I see they put it in tiny text at the bottom which is better then vague bullshit like most games put out.
720p*Wow my 4070 is relegated to 1080p for RT. Damn.
They can't do full raytracing (I assume this means path?), but the ultra tier on the non-full raytracing set (3rd column from the left) has raytracing required and lists a 7900xt.So AMD cards can’t even turn ray tracing on?

They are using Dlss quality at 1080p in their spec sheet lol.
Looking more closely, it says full ray tracing which usually means path tracing. The 4K Settings is insane
Did... did they force MachineGames to use DirectX or something?
So AMD cards can’t even turn ray tracing on?
Keep in mind guys that Doom the dark ages next year will probably have similar specs.
Graphics tech has continued to gain pace but chip technology didn't.As I said in the other thread. Id Tech 7 which ran really well on potatoes last time, so this is a bit of an eye opener.
Guess Machine Games must have done some customisation to bring it to it's knees. I'd expect ID to do a better job next year
I just upgraded from a 10700k to a 9800X3D... interesting to see my old cpu being the minimum.
Brutal.

So is it gonna be another AW2 situation or are these specs rerally neeeded to get a decent performance?
Seems brutally heavy.
I would say half-way.Holy shit, can you say unoptimized even by PC standards??
