I wonder what the reaction would be if he did actually win

Curious, will the secret service still protect him once he loses? I wonder about his safety after he loses with all the damage he has caused.

I want Trump to get blown out but there are a lot of people counting their chicken eggs already. I won't celebrate or anything till Tuesday evening.

OT: If he loses, is he taking his Twitter account back Tuesday night? I'm partially scared of the vitro he will spit out there and what some weak individuals may do.

On an afternoon flight to New Hampshire, Mr. Trump and his aides saw the news splash across the giant flat-screen television on his plane.

Mr. Trump was unsure how to respond.

“What do you think this means?” he asked the small circle traveling with him — Stephen K. Bannon, his campaign’s chief executive; Stephen Miller, his senior policy adviser; and Mr. Lewandowski, his former campaign manager, who lives in New Hampshire.

To the assembled men sitting in white leather seats, the answer was simple: It could turn the election around.

But they insisted that to truly exploit it, Mr. Trump needed to do something he had been incapable of in the past: strictly follow instructions, let a story unfold on its own and resist the urge to endlessly bludgeon his rival.

They headed to a fleet of cars that whisked them to the Radisson Hotel in downtown Manchester, where a crowd of thousands was waiting for the candidate to take the stage.

But his aides needed time to sketch out what Mr. Trump should say — and not say. They sent Michael T. Flynn, a retired Army lieutenant general, onstage with a mission: stall.

As the aides agonized over which words to feed into the teleprompter, they become so engrossed that a hot light set up next to the machine caused Mr. Bannon’s Kuhl hiking pants to begin smoldering.

“I think my pant leg is on fire,” he said after noticing the acrid smell.

At the rally, Mr. Trump did as he was told, quickly praising the F.B.I. and warning that Mrs. Clinton could not be permitted to “take her criminal scheme into the Oval Office.” Then, improbably, he moved on.

For the next week, his campaign staff deployed a series of creative tricks to protect its boss from his most self-destructive impulses.

Fuck Comey

Trump is interesting in that he doesn't only have very little self-awareness, but he actively avoids trying to analyse why he does what he does, or why he feels about things the way he does.

It's actually really depressing. I wouldn't want to live that way. Trump most definitely has stuff buried inside him that made him who he is. But he'll never face it. He may well be unable.

He's the man whose life is unexamined. Socrates said a life like that is not worth living.

Someone should give him a card for Consumer Recreation Services.

That this is even anywhere near a close race tells you how fucked this country is. People will vote for a completely unqualified, fascist, vengeful, literal manchild because he has an R next to his name.

This race isn't actually close. Most political forecasts and trackers place Clinton's chances over Trump at above 80% except for FiveThirtyEight most notably. That's how "not close" this election is.

I do agree that it's sad that 40-45% percent of the voting public would elect someone as uniquely and unquestionably unable to do the full functions of the job.

Polls and brexit tho, shit was wrong

But he is losing Nevada badly, he can't win without this state, even if he were to win Ohio and Florida.

Honestly the worst thing to do right now is assume hes going to lose. Be happy if/when he does but assuming that now, ahead of time is a bad idea. We don't know what is going to happen Tuesday, I think he'll lose but nothing scares me more then thinking that by saying that hes going to lose that people will decide he can't win and then not show up and vote. I know thats something obvious and most people haven't become complacent but crazier shit has happened, no one thought Brexit was going to pass either.

I almost feel kind of bad. A man of this level of delusion and fragility should not have been allowed to run. Then again, I don't know if Clinton could've won against a more normal Republican, so I guess I'm begrudgingly alright with it in the end...

He really is morbidly fascinating. Tony Schwartz, who wrote The Art of The Deal with Trump, was on MSNBC yesterday and was asked if Trump would do some soul searching if he lost the election. His answer was that Trump has no soul and no heart. He wasn't being facetious either, it was kind of chilling. He went on to say that it's not so much that Trump can't be introspective, but that he's terrified of it.

Nervous
Needs constant reassurance everything will be okay
Won't acknowledge any sings of discouragement as potentially valid

As a Hillary supporter, that doesn't sound entirely foreign.

Over a cheeseburger, fried calamari and an “Ivanka Salad” at the Trump Grill in the basement of Trump Tower last week, several aides flipped open a laptop and loaded the popular website 270towin.com, which allows users to create their own winning electoral maps.

For 10 minutes, they clicked through the country, putting Democratic-leaning states won by Mr. Obama four years ago, like New Mexico and Colorado, into Mr. Trump’s column.

Their analysis seemed more atmospheric than scientific.

Uhhh... if your campaign is using the same tools that GAF is, I'm gonna call your campaign woefully unprofessional.

Come Wednesday it'll be everyone's fault except his. If only ____ hadn't _____. No personal accountability, just finger pointing.

Going to be great when he flips on his surrogates and campaign people. That'll be the only time I'll want to hear Kellyanne Conway again: when she's responding to whatever Trump said she did to cost him the election.

hopefully you guys are safe with what happens on tuesday wouldn't surprise me that there would be riots caused by trump supporters when he loses.

As a person who is not White, if I were living in certain parts of the U.S., I would think twice about leaving the safety of my house for a while after it is declared that Trump has lost.

And there are still some people who want Donald Trump to be President. I just don't get that mindset.

This man is going to pretend like he didn't lose. And it's going to be entertaining as fuck.

Concession speech will begin like this:

"Well, I told you folks, it was rigged. The reason that this movement was stopped is because Crooked Hillary packed the ballot boxes with questionable votes. It is the only conceivable reason for this outcome.

Hope Hicks, Mr. Trump’s spokeswoman, said the campaign was on course and gaining ground. She firmly rejected suggestions that advisers were clashing, and said voters were responding to Mr. Trump’s message.

Ms. Hicks denied that Ms. Trump had misgivings about promoting the ad in which she appeared. “That’s simply not true,” Ms. Hicks said. “Ivanka is totally supportive.”
Mmm-hm. "There are no American tanks in Baghdad," right?

The man can barely run his campaign and the GOP wants to put him in charge of the federal government. What a joke.
