The only thing the players want in BF is more physics and destruction, which seems to be what this new title is bringing.

BF 2042 at least did 128 player matches which I will miss.

All that's missing in the footage is the Strike at Karkand theme.
Looks like a carbon copy of BF2 to me.
That being said, I loved that game. I'd absolutely play and buy BF2 with the destruction model from BC2, though the destruction doesn't look too impressive so far aside from certain spots.

looks like Karkand. This is the easy part for them. They already had all this tech.

CAn you pick up the full kits off dead soldiers? Taht would be one classic BF mechanic to bring back.


But it's the total package. The bugs obviously. And releasing a finished game with a solid amount of content.

Then of course the weapon balance and vehicle balance. The variety of gadgets and weapons and vehicles and maps.

last the management of the experience. Are they going to put some effort into managing it? Or just let it be a free for all which in the past means a lot of the same maps getting palyed over and over, people quitting anytime their side is behind, side modes dying out too quickly and never getting fleshed out fully, too many side modes that should just be part of Conquest, dumping people onto servers with few to no players, putting some excitement into the game win conditions, making the modes about the objective instead of deathmatch, and player/skill balance....among other things.


PS Obviously needs to be some new and didn't know I needed that to it too.

lol its likely never going to be "all" , but imo this response makes more sense then most.

The footage they are showing isn't something new as this is in 2042....

How much of it per building remains to be seen and that is the key thing I think people need to be focused on. The feature has existed in BF since BFBC and has only gotten more complex with each BF, how much of it per building is the key thing people need to focus on, as this wasn't absent in 2042, some of you just didn't play enough to know that lol

Based on what I've read from their designers, that isn't something they want, which means even if it was something that COULD be done, they would not do it to balance out the map to keep it competitive. I recall this was something asked a long time ago and they answered why in BFBC2 certain areas could not be destroyed

So far, I'm liking what I'm seeing from this beta / alpha build as this looks very BF3-BF4, but we'll see

If this is already in a state like this 7-8 months before launch, thats a really good sign. Also i see almost every old feature is already implemented. We usually have to wait a year after every launch for them to get them into the game again lol

Well I was under the rock of reality apparently because I served in the army until recently and encountered few women overall and almost zero in combat roles. And this is in Sweden, the Mecca of dumb gender equality experiments.

Destruction is impressive so far. I just hope its more than cosmetic, and falling debris can actually injure/kill you. I remember that occasionally happening in BF3 on the urban french maps and it was always a fun moment when it did.
