On my 5s having problems opening phone. It freezes up everytime I open it up with latest update.
There are third party live wallpaper apps that do that on android, yes.One thing I miss on mobile OSes (I dunno about Android) is cycling wallpapers. On my Mac I have a wallpaper folder with like 300-400 pictures cycling always.
I am sick of my fucking browser locking up and wiping out what I'm writing. This is the first time I've deeply regretted updating my phone.
iOS 8.1 beta is out.
8.1 release notes includes iCloud Photo Library among a few other things Apple has mentioned are due in October so I guess that's the timeline.I wonder if Apple Pay is in this.

Didn't see any mention of ApplePay yet though.
Which iOS release will allow for standard texts to be pushed to the Mac and iPad? The way I can answer calls when using my iPad and my phone is elsewhere in the home is really great.

So when is the quick response to messages in apps happening? Or am I missing it?
You are missing it. Pull down on the message notification when it pops up.
Yeah, I thought it was just me; what is going on?Anyone else getting booted out of iCloud? I can't log in...

I'm just annoyed that more apps aren't updated for the 6+ resolution.
Vast majority of the most popular ones haven't updated yet which is surprising
Instagram and facebook haven't updated by now even, they've had the resolution for the 6 plus for WEEKS
Already 8.1? That's fast. Wasn't 7.1 like months after?
Apple seem to have changed their Dev cycle for iOS 8. 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 are in testing already (8.1 even before 8.0 was out) which is drastically faster than before.Already 8.1? That's fast. Wasn't 7.1 like months after?
iCloud.com working for me
This morning I've started getting prompts to log into iCloud every so often when using Safari on my phone. If I cancel then it keeps popping up every few seconds. Anyone else get this?

What about FaceBook Messenger? Their notes specifically specify "updated for iPhone 6".So Facebook app just updated and it's the same res showing one story at a time on a 5.5" screen
first 7.1 beta was in Nov 2013, and was released in March this year.
There was a story today mentioning current internal testing of 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3.
I would guess that each major new feature gets a 8.x release, so Apple Pay with 8.1, apple watch integration with 8.2 etc.

Which may indicate we'll get more point releases in total before 9.0 or 9.0 won't necessarily be tied to the next hardware release or none of the above.
One thing is for sure though they're changing things.
There is speculation that iOS will be at 8 from now on similar to 10 with OS X. But that doesn't make much sense and would just confuse the consumer.

I think the fact that they're going to iOS 8.1 so quickly kind of kills this rumor.
I think it's just that there's a lot of additional services launching in the next year
