The Shadowrun games are both on sale. You can pick up both Returns and Dragonfall for a total of $5.
I have Shadowrun Returns and have barely played it (yet another game that gets pushed aside from buying too much). I've heard that Dragonfall is an overall better game. Is it the best of the two? And do you need to have played Returns to play it?
Dragonfall is universally considered the much better of the two games and, no, you don't need Returns to play it on ios.
Damn, no more Spiderweb RPGs for IOS
No more for iPad, they'll still be on PCWhat? Why no more Spiderweb RPGS and why are they getting pulled?
After several years of good time, we at Spiderweb have come to the sad conclusion that we can no longer develop new games for the iPad. The iPad titles currently on iTunes will still be available as long as we are able to support them. As soon as Apple makes changes that makes it impossible to support them, they will be removed.
There are a few reasons for this decision.
1. Competition on the App Store has risen to a frenzied level. As a result, sales for our games has dropped massively and the cost of advertising them has shot through the roof.
2. Changes in iOS 8.3 completely broke the engine we have been using for the last several years. To continue development would requiring licensing and learning a whole new engine, and the low potential earnings just doesn't make it worthwhile.
3. Honestly, the complexity of every single thing we do has shot up in the last few years. My brain no longer has the time and energy to deal with Apple forcing me to relearn how to program every few years. This is, of course, my failing.
We know a lot of fans will be disappointed in this decision. Believe me, we're really unhappy about it. And this may not be permanent. In a few years, we can look at the marketplace and the technical requirements and rethink things. For now, though, this is the only decision that makes sense, and we apologize to the fans we've disappointed.

^ Cute game with a funny premise, and a good setup for some possible clever puzzles with a bit of variety.
But... an energy system... urk. :/
I realize this is just the way the market is going, but it's still a bummer.
There's actually an option to remove energy for a price, for those who don't want it
Luke Muscat, the creator of this game, did a talk about it at GDC this year. You can watch it for free too! There's a specific point about Energy systems in there when they did split tests for it during soft launch. Highly recommended viewing
KOTOR is absolutely a classic and easily either the best or one of the top 2-3 star wars games ever.
How it plays on ios is something i would be interested in hearing some impressions on myself.
How is KotOR on an iPhone 5? I can hardly imagine playing a complex 3D RPG on my phone. However, 2.99 are tempting...
Probably wont have the next thread up to Saturday or Sunday. Apologies for not participating much this month. Expect a bunch of new games in the March OP
Any thread title recommendations for March?

Icewind Dale or BG2?
I own both, I never got far into either and I am on holiday next week with little internet so I want something to get my teeth into.
ICW appeals to me as you can make your own party and I like the setting.
BG2 appeals to me as you have more re-playability in the arena mode and it's the best story.
Thoughts?
Hmmmm....personally I would pick IWD but I played both to death back in the days (they are both great games, you can't go wrong with either).
IWD is simpler, more combat oriented, but much more focused (I like the simpler plot more). Setting is fantastic.
BG2 has a more traditional uber epic scope, much more dialogues and tons of subquests (it's unlikely you will complete it in one week, if you don't play it 8 hours per day).
Depends on what you are looking for....I see IWD like a very cool D&D module, BG2 as a (very demanding) complete campaign.
If you can play with a friend (local network, should work without Internet access) IWD is unbeatable.
The force is strong with this oneMay the Watch be with you
Mark of the Ninja couldnt work. Controls are too complex for touch screen IMO. Deadlight would be coolSigh.
My search for another great cinematic platformer/adventure on iOS has proven fruitless.
Completed once again Limbo, got all helix in Stealth Inc.
Tried countless other games but nothing scratched the itch properly.
So I dusted off my old 360 and played Max and the curse of brotherhood, Deadlight and Mark of the ninja.
Some of them should be on iPad.
And why in the world Shadow Complex is not on iOS is beyond me
(If I completed Aquaria on iPad I can play anything).
iOS needs more 2.5D cinematic games.

We're getting This War of Mine possibly this month. Not exactly what you're looking for, but if you want something with stealth, tension, a mature gripping atmosphere, etc. it's amazing. It's going to be on my GOTY list
There's a good amount of replayability. Hopefully the iPad version will include all the content from the PC updates, stuff like another shelter, new locations, a scenario and character editor.Any info about price for this war of mine?
How's the replayability?
Oh, you lucky Android owners got TinyKeep. Dev's porting to IOS too, so I'm not too disappointed
Game is excellent. Highly recommended if you want a top-notch 3D dungeon crawler with physics and smart AI
So I've been in the mood for Star Wars games and wish there were better choices on iOS (aside from KOTOR, of course).
Has anyone played the full Star Wars Rebels game?
I honestly know nothing about the show and am much more of a classic Star Wars fan. Does the game give any nods to the SW films?
I know it wasn't great but I miss Star Wars Trench Run for IOS. It really was, IMO, the only mobile game that captured at least some of the spirit of the films. (Oh and I have played Lego Star Wars on consoles). Sadly, that isn't even an option to download via purchase history and I don't have it backed up.
Anyway, would appreciate any impressions on the full Rebels game.
Mark of the Ninja
I haven't played all of it, but I've heard it's a pretty fun action platformer.
The show itself has a ton of nods to the original films (even had Lando on for an episode, and actually voiced by Billy Dee Williams!) so I bet there's some in the game.
I actually really recommend the show, it starts out a little kiddy but once you're halfway it really is classic Star Wars.
I was feeling star was a few weeks ago and watched the whole 1st season over the course of a few days. Only 13 episodes each 20 minutes so it only takes a handful of hours to watch it all.
Plus, season 2 looks really dark. Looking forward to it
Also, glad you all liked the thread name haha
If Mark of the Ninja came to iOS I would by a new iDevice every day just so I could download MotN on it and eat it for breakfast
