My awesome metroidvania sense is tingling

Don't know what to think on this one. I like it but the controls feel off or just not precise enough. Been quite a few jumps where you have to land on a small portion of a platform between the edge and an enemy and I've jumped into the enemy many of those times.

I'll give it some more time and see if I get used to them.

Great game that apparently didn't sell well....meaning their next game will be F2P. The App Store economy sucks.

It even was an Editor's Choice.
The thing with Hopiko is that the aspects that make it unique and fun aren't readily apparent from screenshots. Compared to stuff like Prune, Monument Valley, or The Room. It doesn't even really look like a platformer.

Apparently radiangames is having a big sale with all of their titles either free or $.99.

I have every single one already, but they're all highly recommended IMO.

implosion update with a new chapter out now

I saw in the notes something about "experience new skill system". If anyone downloads the update, I'd be curious to know what that is. My only problem with the game was that I felt the skill system was confusing and if you screw it up, you can be at a severe disadvantage, particularly in boss fights.

i've downloaded it, but all that stuff was way over my head to begin with i'm not sure i'd know the difference.

I think it means that the new character has his own unique skills, rather than a revamped skill system. Will get back to you later when I try it

I saw FFIX was updated this morning. Does anyone know if it fixed the issue with MFi controllers? I didn't see anything in the patch notes specifically addressing it, but was curious if it got included anyway.

"FF9 still doesn't properly support it, nothing has changed since the last release."

Finally completed my Radiangames collection. Man, is there any other dev who has such a large library and every single game is quality? Inferno 2 is still my favorite of his

I don't even know which Radiangames titles to get.

Marvel's Contests of Champions got a huge update today. Alliance Wars were introduced.

I didn't particularly like Tiny Thief. Is Love You to Bits more of the same but with another theme?

Yeah, I'm curious as well. The trailer seemed to be more of an adventure game than the self-contained puzzle levels of Tiny Thief. Anyone know?

It feels like the gameplay will be similar but the structure might be different. As in, the game might now no longer be bases on short leve.d that are rated by stars but there's no way to know until tomorrow. The game's also set in a sci-fi universe.

It's also pretty hard too.

I bought this for my Android phone and I'm actually really excited to get it free on my iPad because I feel like I might have better precision on a larger screen.

And in mobile news, two new games in development:

Lost Frontier, from the devs of Battleheart

&

Ink, from the devs of Lumino City and Kami

Ink looks interesting. But there's nothing else in the horizon even slightly making me excited. They need to port those Japanese Final Fantasy games, and bring Dragon Quest VII to mobile.

By level 3 of LU2B, it's pretty clear this is going to be an awesome experience.

- The structure is essentially the same as Tiny Thief. Aside from the tutorial/prologue, each planet so far is its own separate single-screen level.
- It's just as charming and cute as Tiny Thief
- Same basic controls and gameplay, but evolved. More manipulating with the environment. The puzzles aren't just place-this-item-here

Mika Mobile always gets me excited but this looks... disappointing? Looks like a flash game, no charm. I thought they were past this with the last Battleheart.

Also, they said in the blog that they were deciding between a SRPG (Fire Emblem) and a regular turn based strategy (Advance Wars) but decided to go with the latter because the genre is under represented. What? If anything SRPG's are under represented on iOS. There are tons of turn based strategy games on the Appstore.

Nah. If it's anything like Tiny Thief I won't play it. I'm just gonna watch a Lets Play.
Control wise it's the same as Tiny Thief, but in terms of puzzles and variety, it blows Tiny Thief out of the water. Just check out the launch trailer, it shows some unique levels. It's not just place-item-here

Just tried AG Drive on the Apple TV. I like the control better than what most racing games have been doing. Real Racing does what you expect with tilt. AG Drive essentially makes the touch pad a left stick with flicking up to do turbo.

You bastard! I've heard it's excellent. Probably my most anticipated release as of now.

I do not want to put salt in bruises but....WHOAH.

LIKE.....WOAH.

I briefly played but I can already say it will be VERY popular here.

It's really hardcore (or I just suck) but it's damn gorgeous, damn fluid, damn fun and there is SO MUCH to do and use!!!
Weapon feedback is soooooo good.

Generally I'm not a fan of autorunners, I prefer free platforming, but...WOAH.
It doesn't even feel a autorunner...it's almost like a mix between a platformer and a shoot'm'up.

Did I mention it's GORGEOUS?

I can't believe I snagged a code on TA...I was just hyped and the dev answered me he will give out some code in 10 minutes....and I went out for a run!!!!
Back at home I saw the answer, the codes, and tried...can't believe it was still valid!
