Obviously, but people are not idiots. They know that it's google maps, as they probably use it on their computers as well. It won't be a huge deal, but there are definitely things missing from maps that'll make it noticeable.Google Maps wasn't the name of the app. It's still Maps, just without Google data. The people you're talking about won't notice the difference.
Speaking of GMaps on desktop, I really wonder if and when Apple will put out a desktop maps application, to even further disway people from relying on GMaps.
