Kung Fu Jedi said:Exact opposite of my experience. I've had much better stability thus far. No crashes today of any kind, and I was having apps crash regularly before. What sites are you visiting on Safari? Sometimes image heavy sites can cause crashes.
it's a very nice app, especially compared to pageonce's netflix integration, but how much do they expect us to pay for this?eXxy said:Blah. Dashbuster requires you to PAY to add movies to your Netflix queue. Useless.![]()
eXxy said:There's a great Netflix/Blockbuster compatible app called Dashbuster that I just installed. Totally free. Only problem -- you can't seem to add anything to your queue. Not sure if it's a bug in the current release, but it's really annoying!
The Take Out Bandit said:I asked about this app this weekend, nobody responded; so I bought it on Saturday. It was $4.99.
Today it's free, but apparently you have to pay to add movies.
At first I was pissed because I paid $5 and then saw the thing for free, but then I found the god damn thing requires payment now?
Is Apple seriously going to let bullshit apps like this populate their store?
Everybody's getting a brick through the window! >:O
Edit: Okay, since updating my firmware this piece of shit app has stopped working.
This is some serious fucking bullshit, I'm considering calling my credit card company and cancelling the payment for this shit. The fucking cocksuckers that designed it ought to be flayed, covered in salt, and pissed on.
Then lit on fire.![]()

Tobor said:You have to put in your iTunes password before purchasing. Which, again, I'm thankful for.
Kung Fu Jedi said:Or you could, you know, wait for them to update the app. Probably won't take more than a day or two. But your idea sounds good too! :lol

which I have.
(not that I would fall prey to this stupid app anyway)

I know how to change to the STANDARD sounds that you find in the phone but how do I add my OWN custom tone ?
Only way to use custom sound for SMS is to jailbreak your phone and use 3rd party app.robertsan21 said:how do I change the sound when I get a SMS?

OK then, I'll try that. thanks for the answer/Kung Fu Jedi said:An Apple Store would be your best bet. But it's a pretty easy comparison. The Touch does almost everything the iPhone does, minus all the cell phone components. So, know speaker or mic or cell radio for picking up data/voice on the go. The iPhone also has a camera.
The Take Out Bandit said:I don't know man, the developer suddenly yanking the version I paid for, then giving away a new free version where you have to pay to add movies to your Netflix queue (setting a new precedent of microtransaction assfuckery), and generally creating a state of confusion within a week of releasing your product really, really, really confuses / infuriates / alienates me.
Is my new improved paid version going to be gimped in the patch? Am I going to be required to pay more money on top of what I already paid for the damn thing?
ANSWERS GOD DAMN IT!
Not you.
The developer.
seriously why the fuck didnt Apple have that as a standard feature like EVERY OTHER DAMN MOBILEPHONE COMPANY have, Sonyericsson, nokia, motorola!!Culex said:I've combed through all the options and as far as i can tell, you can't do custom text message sounds, much like most other phones out there![]()

seems Apple are either really stupid or really fucking greedy and wants us to PAY extra for the features that are missing, like MMS, customizing messagetones etc.

LCfiner said:Hey everyone,
I don't know about you, but I was so pissed at this dev's 'joke' app "I am Rich" that I wrote him a message on his support page telling him as much.
http://www.soundside.de/iPhone/FreeSupportRequest.htm
Anyone who's upset at him for potentially inconveniencing or even stealing money from customers should drop him a line to let him know how you feel. And then we should contact Apple and ask them to remove the app from the store.
Just a thought .
LCfiner said:You probably should not have gotten an iPhone. it just doesn't do what you need. :\
I thought the lack of MMS was pretty well known for the past year. Heck, this thread sure talked about it.
Is it too late for you to return it?

saved screenshot, correct?
oh, since you're so rich, you should buy some antiglare film for the front glass. Good GOD that is smudgy![]()

SuperPac said:No, I think it's just the complaint session about this ended a year ago. And its importance varies from person to person (for example, I never used MMS on any of my previous phones so I don't miss it).
robertsan21 said:really retarded in my opinion and it feels that Apple totaly forgot about it or as I said they will release a Add on later on that you probably can buy or someshit like that.
dork said:Is there a way to make Ringtones not sound like shit?
I have a ton of custom ones but the sound quality is just horrible on this thing, I don't get it.
If the update changes the file structure of the phone, yes. If it stays the same then most likely no.MrOctober said:Since the update I know i'm going to have to wait to jailbreak the phone but will i also have to wait for all new jailbreak apps for 2.0.1 as well? There's already a lack for just 2.0
Don't pump up the volume on whatever you're making it with. Stay around 50-75%, and then turn up the volume on the phone itself.dork said:Is there a way to make Ringtones not sound like shit?

Make sure the ringtones are mono. That usually does the trick. Remember, the phone only has one speaker, after all.dork said:Is there a way to make Ringtones not sound like shit?

dork said:what's the best program to do this? I have audacity now, i got my mp3 opened, but don't know much about editing it, other than picking the portion i want.
Save the edited file in whatever format you want, then load it up in GarageBand (if you're using a Mac) and it will make the mono sound conversion for you. If you're not, you'll just have to convert it to the file type you need to using another program or iTunes.dork said:what's the best program to do this?
