Is IGN finally going to stream the E3 conferences this year?

Or are Massaminia and his crew cheapening out once again? Been an IGN Insider for 4 got damn years and have always needed gamespot for E3. Comon IGN, make my insider worth the $$$.

Just get Gamespot Complete, their streams were really good. I saw both the Sony and Nin10do's PC with ZERO lag. The server crashed the next day I think :lol

IGN rox cuase they had Final Fantasy XII gameplay vids.

Yeah, Gemespot is best for the live conferences. But Gamespot Live after that was a stuttering mess. Half the scheduled live shows were down, and IGN beat them on nearly every big game, when it came to media/playtests.

A combo of the two, if you can afford just a month, might be the best option.

I remember watching the streams last year, good times :) I remember falling asleep in the middle of Sony's conference, and waking up at 4 or 5 in the morning to stream the Microsoft conference and watching people go insane when the Zelda trailer came on in the Ninty conference

On topic: I'd say Gamespot Complete for live streams. I have both so I'm fine :)

I watched Nintendo's for free from Nintendo's site and I'm pretty sure MS' was free also. Sony's conference better not be one big Power Point presentation again this year.

IAWTP. Gamespot, beyond the live streams, was useless last year. If IGN *does* offer them, there's no reason to have Gamespot.

Alternatively, the Nintendo / Sony conferences can probably be streamed from elsewhere (e.g. their own sites), so maybe it's not even worth it....

Nintendo had a (free) stream of their conference last year. I might need to get gamespot complete for sony and microsoft's. =\

Well I want to see all conferences, and I think it's no guarantee that Nintendo will do it free once again.

Microsoft had a free stream of their PC when they first unvieled the Xbox, but I don't think they've done it the last few years.

How was Nintendo's own stream last year? Did it hold up?

I'm just worried about GA staying up. I'd rather have GA during E3 than Conference streams.

well GAF should strip down functions and stuff in order to save bandwidth. It's going to be HAMMER time.

It held up very well. I heard from people who tried to load it up just as it was starting that they had a hard time but I loaded it up 30 minutes before it started and it was great for me.

IGN's tech team is too inept and under-equipped to do it. I mean they can't even keep their site consistently free of 404 errors.

*shakes fist at a broken link*

Obviously we'd love to have them, but there's a lot that goes into them. You'll notice last year not all the conferences were streamed, as getting permissions, a T3 line, the direct-feed and all is really quite complicated.

Anyhow, we'd love to do it. All I can say is wait and see. We're just as interested as you.
