Tbf he should've been banned ages ago. There's multiple permaban offenses that were ignored after he was demodded.

Anyway on-topic, this is hilarious and also infuriating. Thank fuck the Catholic Church's influence is waning quickly in my country.

This is hardly surprising. Hypocrisy and religion go hand in hand. Couple human nature with the Church's retrograde stance on homosexuality and it's no wonder people cut loose and overindulge themselves when they get the chance. At least they weren't raping children.

The real outrage here is that these people have the audacity to condemn others for basic drives and behaviors we all share while indulging in hedonistic excesses that most of us aren't inclined or able to partake in.

It is the same thing that tends to happen with the most ardent homophobes. They have these horrible urges that they must repress, then project those urges onto other people and lash out at them for being 'morally weak' to succumb to the sin of lust.

Of course, such restraint can only be sustained for so long until it boils over in a decadent gay bacchanal.

Well no I didn't. I talked about them having gay sex in terms of the hypocrisy of the dogma they espouse to the worlds catholics.

Then I touched upon the fact that catholic priests have had a whole pedophile association tarred to them for some many years.

And if I was the police, and I was called to some catholic priests' house due to noise complaints because their orgy is "getting out of hand", you can be damn fucking sure I'd be checking their basement out, or contriving a reason to go down there and take a look.

I should start doing monthly compilations of (exposed) church scandals. It feels like there isn't atleast a single week without some scandal in the past months.
Perhaps this would make my family finally quit church and stop paying for these hypocrites' drug parties and child abuse via tax.

Now if the Pope could transfer that kind of fury away from what appears to be consenting acts of sex (albeit it with illegal drugs), to stopping covering up/ignoring/protecting/legitimising paedophilia in the organisation, that would be great.

Sure, you do not like homosexuality Mr Pope, but homosexuality is legal, paedophilia is not. Care to hand accused priests over to the law to serve charges/sentences like ordinary people? Instead of sending them off on holidays around the world/bringing into the inner organisation and saying "Vatican laws now apply, we'll deal with it".

I feel bad for the Pope. Dude wants to take steps towards making the church a positive, less authoritative force, but has to deal with many decades worth of dirty laundry + his own team acting out.

For the record, I think the drugs and the orgy elements pissed him off, the fact that it was gay sex probably wasn't a major issue.

Were any actual priests or cardinals or anyone of note involved in this? It says it was set up by an aid in a cardinal's apartment, but not that the cardinal was present or aware of it.
