that is really the thing that sucks. Because of the fact that the prosecution just fucked up at every point, people who will always believe he is guilty have that to fall back on. "Had he been tried by a competent prosecutor, they would have found him for what he is," or something like that.

Yeah but those people as you said would be convinced of his guilt no matter what type of trial it would have been. Can't say I blame them though. I mean, a guilty verdict would probably not change my mind on MJ's innocence either, given how "accurate" courts can be at times.

After hearing the information that’s been coming out the last few months, I have to agree that the DA was out of his freaking mind to go ahead with this.

Not really. Its a career maker with little down side. If he wins, he becomes the man who put a rich pedo in jail and in 5-10 would likely be a judge somewhere. If he loses, no one remembers who he is Heck he's just wasting taxpayer money and taxpayers don't protest anymore so....

Michael is in debt hundreds of millions (billions?) seriously, if the dude would get in the studio with some top notch producers, pound out a superb album AND go on a world tour and support it with his back catalog of hits........... debt over. he could probably clear almost half a billion dollars in a year when all was said and done (including beatles royalties and his own royalties).

It's amazing how quickly things can change. I recall before the trial started alot of people on the board were already writing MJ off, assuming he's guilty and would get his ass in jail. I kept saying we don't know the evidence, wait for this to go to trial, the jury will get to see/hear all the evidence but still people weren't convinced. Now things have totally shifted, and people see that the prosecution had very little to NO evidence against him other than the accuser's words. I can't believe this actually went to trial.

I'd like to dig up that old thread where people were attacking me for defending MJ because I wanted to wait for the official evidence before assuming he was guilty. I guess being reasonable and actually wanting REAL facts before you find someone guilty is too much to ask for on here. I don't have the time to search for the old thread.

no, this never happened, nor did he ever claim on the stand that jackson was around him naked (this urban myth comes up at EVERY jackson pedo incident). the only things he testified to was like 2 or 3 times when either he or his brother were molested, all of which are only accountable by the one boy, and all of which have either no other evidence aside from their word and in one case have serious flaws in the testimony (boy slept through being molested despite his brother entering the room which would have set off some seriously loud alarms). the only "proof" to the molestation is the kids' words against MJ's. The problem for the prosecution is that the kids' words aren't worth a whole lot of weight the way it has been alleged that the family targets corporations and celebrities to make money off of them.

The thing is those people haven't really changed their minds at all. They still think he's a child molester, and always will, no matter how many times we go through this. It's just that you're not hearing from them atm because MJ will probably soon be acquitted of all charges (possibly as early as next week). Give 'em a little while, they'll be back.

I hear that...I always said if being wierd or fucking crazy was a crime, half the planet would be behind bars.

No pedo I know of would admit to sleeping with boys on international TV. They keep every element about that sick part of their lives locked away. MJ just came out and stated that like he was strolling in the park, believing merely sleeping with boys was just fine. Now I think it's fucked up myself, but we're not dealing with someone that has a full deck here. And I think he genuinely cares about kids, in part due to his own fucked up childhood, but shows that care in different ways. Doesn't make him a pedo.

And even if it did, I keep on saying it...the parents should get their ass thrown in jail for constantly sending kids to this guy when his rep for being a pedo wasn't exactly unknown.
