Jam With the Band is the US name. Band Brothers is the JPN name.

i think NOA is worried about a conflict with band of brothers (the HBO mini series.)

which, to be fair, seems realistically possible given the way C&Ds are handed out these days.

I think what is most likely is that the DS will convert whistled/sung tones and convert them into "sheet music", for use with the game. If you can whistle/sing/hum it, you'd be able to turn it into a tune.

As a side note, there was some sort of hardware/software package that did this very thing, several years ago on the C64 and Atari 8-bit computers.
