Wolves can't expect a quick fix to their problems for this season. The worst thing to do is to panic and not get full value for someone like Spree. Even if they lose this season, better to be patient and get something of fair value for Spree.

lol, I watched the Wolves-Lakers game last night on NBA TV and the Minny announcers acted all surprised when Olowandi made a shot or did anything remotely good.

This trade, which works under the salary cap, has been discussed down here in Memphis: Spree, Olowakrappy, and Cassell to the Grizzlies for Shane Battier, Jason Williams, and Bonzi Wells.

I don't want it to happen, because I really don't think I could root for a team that had Cassell and Olowakandi on it. Especially giving up Battier for them.

Jefferson is out for the year with a wrist injury.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New Jersey Nets lost leading scorer Richard Jefferson to a season-ending wrist injury, the latest blow to the three-time defending Atlantic Division champions who now seem likely to miss the playoffs.

The team announced Tuesday that Jefferson has a ruptured ligament in his left wrist. Surgery is expected within the next two weeks, and Jefferson would not be ready to play again until the second half of May.

Any team with that can run the pick and roll is always going to give the Heat a lot of problems. I guess that is just a fundamental weakness of Shaq's game, for a time I thought he was just being too lazy to move his feet. I guess he really is worthless outside of the paint.

Don't get any ideas with this Konex. I still wish he played in LA with Kobe. :lol

phoenix is godly. 40 in the first quarter against the heat.

i'm thinking of ordering the leauge pass just to watch them run fools out of the gym... and, of course, to watch my beloved sonics.

I love watching the Suns play. They can pick the best teams apart.

I wouldn't say that. Beat Seattle by only 2(At Seattle), and were tossed out of the building by the Spurs. But, yes, they are fun to watch.

The Suns did an amazing job turning around the frannchise. Only a year ago they were a really bad team with three bad max contracts. Just shows the importance of having the guts to trade for cap room, having the smarts to abuse Isiah in a trade, getting a good PG, and drafting a high schooler when everyone else tells you to take some crappy college player.

Don't mistake "CAN" with "ALWAYS".

Holy crap, there is no D in this game. The announcer's right, the Heat looked confused on D. Stoudamire is having a great night on the boards. Got our work cut out for us in the second half. The Suns are fucking impressive. PEACE.

Wow, dunno if it's been discussed (I saw someone speculating about it earlier), but Jefferson is out for the SEASON. That's a huge blow for the franchise. Wonder how Carter will react (in terms of his game), since I'm sure he was looking forward to playing with BOTH Kidd and RJ.

It's Amare you foo!
Edit: Damn I read it again and its D for Defense not Damon Stoudemire. :lol

Getting owned so far with my fantasy team. Don't know what to do with the last roster spot. Picking up C. Anderson was just stupid.

Will we get the chance? Isn't he injured? No? Then give him another week. :)

Man, Amare is having a really nice jump-shooting night. If he ever develops a consistent J like this full-time, the league is in trouble. :p

Holy crap, everyone on Phoenix is a weapon. :lol Not even just spotting up, but Johnson, Marion, Nash, and Richardson can all create their own shot off the dribble when things bog down, and Amare is getting to that point himself. Crazy.

It's DEFINITELY going to be a Suns-Spurs WCF this year (apologies to Lonestar and his Sonics, who will put up a good fight), barring significant injuries. :D

I'm a pretty die hard Mavs fan. Followed them all through the years, including the bad years. The Suns remind me alot of recent Mavs teams only their players are a little more atheletic. But it also seems that as Nash goes the Suns go. Unfortunately, I've also seen plenty of Nash (due to being a Mavs fan) and I can say that Nash can tear it up during the regular season and play big minutes. But he will be injured this year for at lesat 10 games or so. Also playing big minutes seems to wear Nash out so much so that he dissapears during the playoffs or at least loses about 30-40% of his effectiveness.

Suns look great now, but if Nash goes down/dissapears watch out...I don't think they'll be anywhere near where they are now.

Yeah, the Suns definitely remind me of the Mavs two years ago when they went to the WC Finals, except with more athleticism.

I think he's taken less FGA this year; certainly less drives to the basket. Seems to MUCH prefer distributing the ball (even more than before). So I'd be surprised if the playoffs affect him. I suspect he'll continue carrying the Suns (along with Amare).

And would you agree that his one-bounce pass is at its best? He cuts up two/three players on a regular basis now.

The Suns starters are playing waaay too many minutes right now. D'Antoni needs to work the bench in a bit more. Shit, they are blowing out teams most nights :lol

Couldn't agree more. Nash is going to get burned out by April, it happens every year. Also, Tony Parker can drop 40 on him all the time.

The Spurs will eat the Suns for dinner in the playoffs. Unless they start playing D and the bench contributes before all their starters legs burn out.

When you play an uptempo running style like the Suns the wear and tear of going up and down the court for 82 games wears on you. Nash seems to be doing a little less offensive scoring wise this year (because his teamates are so damn atheletic) but as the year goes on fatigue sets in. Also remember, Nash's body isn't all that built. So as the year goes on and teams start playing more physical and bodying up on Nash his ability to go around them escape that sort of thing is diminished. Without a guy who can dribble out of trouble and find the open guy the Suns become a team of atheletic small guys...Which don't win titles, or even advance further than round 1 in the playoffs.

Also remember Nash's defense is a liability now. Just look at the Mavs guards this year. The Mav's have improved dramatically at defense at the G position. Offensively they've dropped off a bit but still... A tired Nash = a scorched Nash. Parker, Bibby, et al will light Nash up on the offensive end.

All that being said, if somehow Nash can stay healthy and not get tired....The Suns are going to be a team with the best record in the NBA, home court, and won't face a real opponent until the WCF probably.

After what Nash did to help the Mavs turn around I dont hold anything agianst him and I wish him the best of luck, until he faces my Mavs of course....

Damn, Melo's dropped off. He's playing really terrible and seems to have lost all confidence. Hope the Nuggz lay down for the Lakers tomorrow... :)

Doesn't really mean shit if they lose to the Lakers again. Worry about that first.

Uh... dude, we're 35 games into the season. Ths Suns are 31-4. Doesn't look to me like anyone's "figuring out" shit.

Sure the Spurs blew the Suns out when they played, but it was only one game. If we're going to go by what goes down in the regular season (so far) the Spurs are going to lose to the Sonics in the playoffs before they get to the Suns.

I'm not going to argue with you at this point in the season. And teams are different but look at those high flying mavs teams. When they got into the playoffs with the exception of when they played the kings their scoring went down. It's the way the NBA works. You start seriously game planning trying stuff to slow guys down in the playoffs.

Yeah, you shouldn't be arguing with me about a team that's 31-4. Agreed.

We're goin' all the way to the President's Cup bay-bee!
