No, but Joey Styles is unable to trademark his stage name due to similarity to the "A.J. Styles" name. Joseph Bonsignore (J. Styles) never trademarked that name while he was in ECW or after he left, but Allen Jones trademarked "A.J. Styles" in 2001 or 2002. When Joey went to WWE in 2005, WWE was told they couldn't trademark it because it may cause confusion with the mark they granted to A.J. Styles.

But he and WWE used it anyways because they know AJ Styles is never going to file a lawsuit or anything.
