Exactly. Some folks need to step back and start looking at things with the blinders off.

Still holding out hope for HB2 info this year, gameplay clip....something.

Listen it's been post 2021 forever. I have said it forever, its been forever. IF it comes out this year it would be...well in some weird shape.
I have no clue what fucking sources people have but even when I first talked about it on my podcast ages ago it was 2022 and exclusivity and that source for those things just hasn't been wrong.
Not sure if people are literally just faking sources or what.

And trust me...I have had a couple of BAD sources. But they burn off rather quickly.
You said on twitter last week that next week (This week) there would be some big game announcements. We're 4 days in and i havent seen anything that could quantify as a "big announcement." Care to share what you were referring to or has whatver you were talking about not been announced yet? Thanks.

It is what it is. This could well be a 2023 game. Meaning that TES is a next gen launch title lol.

I get the feeling that Microsoft are going to aggressively moneyhat 3rd party day one gamepass releases to tie them over next year as well.

So many rumors, tough to know who to believe these days.

I can say that I wouldn't be surprised if the game was further from launch than a year ago, if the exclusive rumors are true. Would just seem logical to me that intentionally limiting sales causes changes to the game to make up some of that revenue.

That would then probably be a difference in focus as The Last of Us 2 60 FPS surprise Boost and Dark Alliance Xbox Day One Gamepass gets are big news to most. Those for many the prior more than the later.

Thank you following up and responding to me!

Didn't prevent Sony from moneyhatting them harder than ever, apparently.
I see this claim everywhere but all I've seen that can be considered an actual legit source is a tweet by Imran Khan that says they were in discussion about it prior to Bethesda getting bought by MS.

I've yet to seen evidence on this "hard moneyhatting", considering the games release date I have a harder time believing this. Might as well been Sony that pulled out of the deal because they realized the game was so far away from release.

Well technically those games are not being made by Bethesda. I believe it's Arkane Studios and Tango Gameworks that are making those games. I don't believe Fallout 76 indicates what the quality will be like for those titles.

Fable, State of Decay 3 and maybe couple more were Blur CGI (http://www.blur.com/projects/sod). There's nothing about these games yet.

Lot of games in early production, only Halo Infinite gameplay have shown in 2020.

They must show some in-game footage in next-month event. At least Halo Infinite, Forza, Hellblade 2. Sony probably will reveal Horizon Forbidden West and God of War ragnarok gameplay.

For now, they're showing BC games enhanceds. It's what they got.

Are we in the thread saying games announced but far out from release is bad? Is that what we're doing? If new hardware came in hot, amidst a global pandemic no less where chip shortages are rampant, should not development studios at least be expected to take a while to have their next gen products ready?

It has been reported that they wanted Starfield too. Sony has a good flair for single player games but you may disagree.

People from GameIndustry.biz, VGC and Jason have all said the same thing in terms of MS first party studios like Initiative's Perfect dark, Playgrounds Fable. They are a long ways off.

And yet E3 2020 was a bunch of games that were years off and most of them shown in CGI trailer form.
There was no E3 in 2020 🤣

Think you are getting halo, forza and Starfield

I could live with q2 2022 for Starfield

I'm gonna lean towards what Schreier is saying here. I just hope we actually get to see more of the game in a couple of weeks so I can know if I should be hyped or not.

So many rumors and arguing over something we know so little about.

We are a desperate bunch it seems.

Also, stop fucking announcing games before they're being worked on please.
Yeah. In my youth I remember reading for the first time about a game when it was reviewed. Or seeing it for the first time when it was sitting on the shelf. Those were the days.

For once i dont believe the info jason is getting is right this time, no way in hell a 200 man team worked from 2018 to 2019 worked to fix 76, 76 was really bad when it came out but the game was functional, patches werent that big and it took them forever to get it done, maybe its releasing this year as an early access game

eh I was expecting 2/22/22 or Spring 2022. I'm guessing Sony will make God of War: Raganrok their big 2022 holiday release and Starfield will be MS big holiday release next year as well.
I was really hoping god of war would release before may of next year and something else would be their big holiday 2022 game. It does make sense to push it back since Microsoft won't really have anything available until then for the most part. I'm guessing if horizon doesn't hit this year then horizon early 2022, gt spring 2022, and god of war late 2022.

edit: on topic E3 is in a couple weeks so I'm just going to wait until for info on a game I won't play.

Sometimes the best deals are the ones you Don't make
Give me a break. These games have the potential to be very popular, and very good.

And if you look at Skyrim sales, it looks like it sold quite a bit more initially on 360 than PS3 which means maybe Bethesda games skew more towards the MS demographic. Maybe that just meant it made more sense for MS to buy them.

if Sony bought them plenty of Sony only players would be saying it was a killer acquisition. Obviously the proof is in the pudding and we won't know what the effect is, but this downplaying of whatever is occurring on the "other side" drives me bonkers.

I really question if people like playing good games, or just need to engage in team sports, more or less.

its so obvious. you think microsoft wouldnt let it be known if it was releasing this year to gather some momentum for xbox? theres a reason why we havent seen much gameplay for their first party games yet. they're years away from coming out. halo infinite is the closest thing we got.

So Halo is the only first party game coming out this year? In your opinion?

Not this again! Nobody knows all that's being made by Microsoft Studios, there's more than likely 40+ games in development.

This is what we do know.

I think you're kidding yourself if you think they're suddenly going to spring a AAA release out of nowhere (and 40+ in development seems unlikely).
