The best part of that controller is you put the 2.4ghz USB dongle into a hidden port in the base, then you connect the base to the PC.Yeah PC only for that controller
Why would it be too expensive?imo MS is just prolonging going 3rd party with a subscription service and shutting down their digital store.
It's too expensive to keep people's digital libraries forever, especially when they are not selling hardware well and Steam is dominating PC.
People that have $100s-1000s of money invested in xbox digital games are gonna be so pissed when that day comes.
Why would it be too expensive?
Likely there last holdouts would be those who have a large Xbox library that they still like to dive into from time to time.I have always loved Xbox but honestly... Why am I going to spend a grand on an Xbox (+250 or so for gamepass yearly) when I can buy a PlayStation that plays PlayStation and Xbox games?
Buying a PS and buying the Xbox games I actually want would save me hundreds a year. Seems like a no brainer.
Eh, I bet it would be a rounding figure for MS. Don't think you have to worry about the games going away, the big question is will there be hardware that can play them. All those downloads gotta be hosted in storage. Pay for transmission of data. etc. I don't think any company will just eat that cost without having a sustainable platform.

All i wanna know is how the fuck phil still has a job
They try and enter markets and then cut and run if they don't get traction.MS drops things like a bad habit. If you look at windows phone or mixer. They closed mixer almost overnight after spending millions on Ninja and Shroud.
It would be a pretty big price, gotta keep maintaining all that equipment too. Hell they might have it all at just a few data centers that they could shut down entirely and have lots of savings.
I would love to see Xbox consoles find a future as part of a wider, broader, device-agnostic ecosystem...
the last game console with no exclusive games was...
Like that is Microsoft call to make!Make a Xbox controller on PS and just print money. It would make more than Hellblade 2 did.
I use both and I like the 4 paddles of the elite but for me the sticks are more comfortable on Playstation, but I prefer the shape of the DS4 instead of the dualsenseNot really.
Bothers me more that I have massive bear paws for hands and when I rest the pads of my thumbs on the PS sticks the tips of my thumbs tend to bump into each other.
I have tried repositioning my thumbs better but so many years of Xbox controller being my go to its just not natural
All the extra feature on the dual sense I just shut off 90% of the time so that’s no advantage
Then when it comes to the pro style controllers I prefer the 4 paddles on the elite vs the 2 on the back of the DS Edge
So for me personally its really not even close which controller I prefer
It’s not about diving into it from time to time. It’s about not completely lose access to decades of purchased content.Likely there last holdouts would be those who have a large Xbox library that they still like to dive into from time to time.
Exactly this.when I rest the pads of my thumbs on the PS sticks the tips of my thumbs tend to bump into each other
