Arthur sucked ass, the muh 21st century morals cowboy who loved feminism and his mixed race friends, and hated committing crimes.

Outside of the obvious Rockstar North elements (side mission stories, Arthur's insults, best gore in existence, etc.) RDR2 looks and feels like a game made by Bethesda.
Chapters, heavy focus on reading, sketch book diary, dream catchers, excessive: cursive, spirituality and morality -

Every Rockstar game ever made promotes tolerance.
Arthur's tolerance crosses a line when he allows himself to be victimized by children or drugged and violently sodomized by a hick with no built-in retribution missions.
There should be a side mission where Arthur gets payback on the predator via one of the more terrible American Indian methods (burying up to neck and covering with honey, etc.).
You're thinking of Jack or RDR2 'family man' John.
RDR John is more badass than Arthur by virtue of not being 'spiritual' or deathly ill.
