I figured it was likely false, and I'm still leaning that way without any evidence proving it. I didn't tell anyone about this since reading about it last night, because I too don't like to spread fake news / misinformation, and would always rather verify it myself. However, if I'm going to consider it to be genuinely false, I'm going to need a better "fact check" source than snopes.
