It's pretty fucking scary how bigoted and offensive these Youtube personalities really are, and how it is seeping into their videos as well. Because man, kids love these channels. That wasteman Pewdiepie is a huge influence on adolescents for instance.

Something's gotta be done. Censorship is a touchy subject, but also the influence these guys have on these kids is a problem

Ugh, I used to like this guy. But it's just racist remark after racist remark. I had to stop halfway through that debate because I couldn't handle any more bullshit. And this video of course does nothing. Deleted the sub a while ago, and I'm glad I did.

I've read various articles in the subject a while ago. It's well documented that west african descendants have better fast twitch muscles, but do correct me if I'm wrong.

Not surprised if people are using it as a crutch excuse though.

Not that I want to take this cunt's side on anything, but I was a little surprised by the reaction to this line in particular because I was under the impression this was the case.

Obviously the sunlight itself isn't what contains the Vitamin D3, but it is necessary in the production of it, which seems such a small distinction to invoke the gifs and such.

It's hilarious how somebody brings up African Americans overwhelmingly voted for Obama as an actual point I guess towards that Blacks voted Obama because he was Black, when African Americans overwhelmingly vote Democrat regardless of the color of that candidate due to the Democrats history of championing equal rights, social programs, are less racist than Republicans, and they're supposed support for the poor and middle class. The flaw in his argument is if Ben Carson or Hermain Cain would've won the Republican nomination , African Americans would magically vote for them but the reality is they wouldn't because they don't like what they stand for and their policies, because African Americans aren't fuckin' stupid and vote for people just because they're Black.

As a parent with young kids, I'm glad to be in the fortunate position of being aware of the scumbags and to make sure my kids don't subscribe to them when they eventually start watching the youth era. It is a huge problem though, you don't have any form of censorship like you would on TV broadcasting and many parents will be unaware of the potential toxins their kids could be exposed to and ultimately influenced by through watching their YouTube heroes.

Also makes me feel a bit sick to wonder if Jontron will just have increased his subscriptions due to appealing to Trump supporters in his personal views.
 
What's funny is that some of the stuff JonTron said is probably as blatant as you can get. This wasn't just some Bill Maher style criticism of Islam or some right wing criticism of "Black Culture". He literally talks about not wanting to dilute the gene pool and tries to claim that American Blacks commit more crime than Whites regardless of socioeconomic status, and then tries to present said crimes as being the same as modern Africans. There's really not much of anything that could mean outside of trying to create a relationship between culture/ideas/behavior and ethnicity. That's not just indicative of a racial bias, it's indicative of a conscious belief that race is a determining factor in these things and is part of the whole idea of "protecting White culture" I mean, come on dude, I like European Philosophy/Literature/Art as much as the next person, but this isn't something that's just insensitive, It's straight up "race realist" logic. You really fucking can't get more blatant than that.

Honestly, as someone who's mixed race, young, and has lived in metropolitan areas my whole life, I(thankfully) don't have the kind of experiences my mother has had regarding racial prejudice. However, when these ideas are presented and then you get people falling over themselves to try and act like it's no big deal and we should just respect these kinds of opinions in response to a controversy, it's kind of hard not to feel personally disrespected. Even when it's plain to see, it still just doesn't matter to these people.

Yes, but in the same rant about that he claims because of their reaction to developing fairer skin it made them genetically superior and therefore let them nearly conquer the world because the darker skin people were naturally submissive. Oh and they invented the wheel and basic architecture and agriculture because Africa was vast paradise of natural resources and bountiful food that let the blacks be lazy and feast like kings.

The dark result of the ethno state based on a conception of themselves as a "chosen people" would result in them persecuting internal "outsiders" and actual outside forces/people. NAZI germany's war on the Soviet Union was predicated on the "Slavs" being sub humans controlled by Kulturbolschewismus a Jewish infection because you know Karl Marx was a Jew. . . And undermined the superior aryan culture through he corrosive force of thinking and empathy for those lower on the ladder.

You can't just limit a polity based on racial superiority to bugger it's own society, as the very foundation of racial superiority would lead to manifest destiny style interactions with their neighbors.

I think that is incredibly unlikely. They obviously try to stay out of it, but their feelings creep through occasionally, and they all seem pretty liberal. The worst you will ever see from them is their general unwillingness to engage on this topic, and their preference to stay out of politicized conversations. However, I think that is a perfectly reasonable response from people that want to focus on video games, not the personalities associated with them.

Oh I'm aware of the flaws of it. At least then its a defined enemy as Nazi Germany was and the ideology can be correctly identified as the enemy and dealt with.

Ultimately the only permanent solution for racists is enlightening them in the long term and having the ideas die out.

Clicked on a video of his that had been uploaded a couple minutes earlier and saw someone post "SJWs go to hell". See that stuff on their content too often unfortunately.

The video's actually easier to watch than you might think. He's not just spouting his rhetoric unchallenged; Destiny is really good at dissecting right-wing talking points and challenging them at their philosophical core.

What makes this particular discussion a little different is that the dude is an admitted racist, so you don't get quite the same floundering around that you see from the less extreme alt-righters. It's a very interesting exchange, and by the end of it, in a weird way, I kinda felt sorry for the dude and his miserable existence. He's still a sack of shit, of course.

It's a problem that needs to be addressed, to be sure, but I think some selection bias probably makes it seem worse than it is. We see this shit all over the internet because their strategy is to quite literally flood the internet with their shit. And honestly, how many of us really want to engage with them on that turf? They're loud, but that doesn't mean they're the majority. It was an old and ever-aging electorate that put Trump in the White House. Young people are overwhelmingly opposed to that kind of thinking.
