We don't really know what happened that caused all of this, despite rumors suggesting otherwise. It's well-known that Vince likes Punk however so it isn't surprising that he wouldn't be buried.

To be fair, a lot of Cena's problem is he's the only super face on the roster. Having a second guy to push merch could help things. I know the smarks will hate Reigns anyway, they already do, but with Bryans injury and uncertainty, means a whole lot more Cena
