Once Miz pushed Dolph out, the crowd seemed to die, granted it was drowned out by the loud music and him attempting to be as annoying as he can, but the crowd, from the mere visual, just sat on their asses.

Neither Sheamus nor Dolph are big enough faces that fans will be outraged that they lost on the IC title (lol), they pop somewhat for Ziggler but that is mainly out of respect for his in ring work and him being underutilized, Miz throwing him out just further pushes that narrative and will make people like him even more because they see the injustice in how he has been treated, aka Miz made them like and sympathize with Dolph even more. They barely even care anymore about Sheamus, he is in no mans land. And Miz, this might just be his last chance to carve out even a upper midcarder shtick for himself.

At Raw Miz will give the stereotypical heel promo that WWE gives to every heel, "I am the best", "i am better than each and everyone of you!" and "this title proves i am the BEST! ME!!", the crowd will continue to check their cellphones and wait for something half interesting to happen, such as a cool 2011 Ragecomic.jpg on their facebook newsfeed to show up.

Overall the show wasent good, shame about no Ambrose and Rollins, but almost good, because i hate seeing Ambrose losing. I think he is a legit (shook?) star in the making.

What was interesting in the main event is just how dead the crowd was when Reigns mostly beat up Cena, then he had a moment of him beating everyone at the same time doing that leg thing he does and momentum picked up.

Of course Brock is winning.

What was the point of Bork losing at Extreme Rules anyways?

Brutal but true. Last night needed a better card to have a chance.

Last night's card was great, it was the execution of said card that fell flat on it's face. AJ/Paige was bad, Paige needs to go back to NxT or ditch her bad overacting. Bray/Jericho was slow and awkward, but you can blame it on Jericho's ring rust, plus the crowd didn't help.

Then they fuck up the most awaited match of the night by reducing it to a 5 minute skit/brawl between Rollins/Ambrose. IC Battle Royal was a crock. Crowd was hot for Ziggler vs Sheamus then came Mr. MTV Challenge to put the crowd back to sleep. After that I skipped the main event but from what I read, it was nothing special and the ending a disaster.

So you had a solid card, on an average PPV and WWE did everything they could to fuck it up.

Everyone just gonna say the part they liked the least is where the crowd went out. It was after the bait and switch and we all know it~

I dunno, easy to bitch about it now but I felt at the time Cena/Lesnar extreme rules followed a textbook storyline: Edge came back and gave a really great promo for it/Cena was legit shook after the loss to The Rock and they told a good story in the ring. It should've happened at SS that year probably. The follow up with Cena teasing going away and then fueding with johnny ace was an awful, awful mistake as well.

EDIT-also I liked jericho's ring gear last night. The patterns on it looked like the background of a sonic the hedgehog casino level.

Roster reveal is a bit weird considering none of these people ever play video games. Well maybe Reigns, don't know about him. But I'm pretty sure Cena, Sheamus and Hogan don't ever play the WWE games. Put Cody on there or Kofi or something at least.

Brock just needs to throw the ring steps into the crowd when the match starts and he'll be fine, those are his kryptonite

He's already thrown monitors into the crowd, might as well do the ring steps as well.
And some chairs.
And some cameras.
And the ringbell.
And Lillian Garcia.

Cesaro literally taught me to throw a dropkick by using WWF RAW for the SNES as an example ("Just jump up and then pretend you're a board!"). I doubt he plays them now, but he definitely did.

I can't dropkick for shit

Don't care, love the Miz. Hope he comes out tonight in his duster. Miss that thing. Sadly, he's probably Johnny Cage 2.0 now, though. S'alright.

When are you muppets going to get that what happened at Extreme Rules is part of why Brock is almost certainly going to win. Why is he taking the match at all if he's going to lose? That doesn't build Cena (who already beat him). That severely wastes the mystique Brock has right now as the guy who ended the streak. It fails to push the authority storyline (who need to occasionally get one over the good guys to be relevant).

I mean, it's not like John has learnt any lessons from Extreme Rules (he no sold the effects of the match last night as well), but keeping the belt on Cena isn't going to help their subscriber numbers, and no matter how strongly John feels about losing to Brock, he doesn't have that much sway in things.

Brock is PPV buys and network subs. More Cena isn't.

At Extreme Rules Brock was a guy whose exit had left the company hanging coming back to face the guy who carried it in his wake. So he lost. Now he's a big star who has shown he is prepared to continue to keep coming back, and to do what they want of him.

Now he's the guy who ended the Undertaker's streak. It's a very different situation.

I thought it worked. Brock was walking all over Cena in his first match back, Brock got super cocky/full of himself - especially after that first leap over the ropes, Brock got caught. I wasn't too upset with it.

GREAT POINTS.

But you never ever EVER bet against Cena. Lest you forget:

They've done it the past few years, it was big last year. People were hyped.

Guys, Brock isn't going to beat Cena. What's going to happen at SummerSlam is that Cena is going to AA Brock so hard that it will ripple backwards through time and give Cena the victory that ended Taker's streak.

Wonder if there will actually be footage. There has to be, right?

That also looks pretty safe, no-ones getting fired this year.

Oh, I'm all for panels, love panels. Comic-Con right around the corner, love 'em!

But for a Roster Reveal panel I'd have some gamers there who can talk with a bit more expertise on video games. Guys like Cena are just gonna recite the default PR bullshit. It's gonna be like King claiming it's the BEST GRAPHICS IN A VIDEO GAME EVER kind of bs.

But yeah, yay Cesaro.

...Rollins stabbed him in the back and destroyed the group that dominated for 2 years just to side with The Authority?

I still don't get why that makes him some uncontrollably mad guy or whatever, aside from the need to have everyone in a program. Shouldn't he be as mad at Reigns for being in main events instead of helping him try and take out Rollins?

What are you talking about? Expertise? They're there to announce dudes. Also Cena plays video games. Stuff the Haterade.

It was a mistake to watch Battleground last night; I should have conserved my energy for a killer opening G1 Climax 2014 show.

What is the point of the Wyatts now? They can't win matches. They haven't recruited other wrestlers to their cause to show their message is spreading. Why is Bray still announcing the town during his entrance for a face pop?

Why didn't the Wyatts win the tag titles? The Usos are stale as fuck, and Wyatts and the Dusts could have had fun bullshit promos about the cosmos. And the Dusts and Wyatts could have had entertaining matches.

Why was there so much stalling last night? Did they forget that they had to book a 3 hour show? Is the WWE's new motto, "Be glad you didn't pay $50-60 for this bullshit?"

How did Ambrose break into Rollins's car? Is breaking into cars something he learned in CZW? JEEZUS.

Why did Rollins walk out wet in his gear? Why did Heath Slater eliminate Cesaro? Why did Cena put Orton in the STF while Reigns had Orton in a half crab?

I look at it this way: Roman is mad at the people who got Seth to betray them. Dean is mad at Seth for betraying them.

Roman and Dean had their issues before, so it doesn't overly bother me that they've sort of separately gone their own ways.

I'll tell you one thing about Battleground though... I loved Harper no selling the super kick. That's how you no sell. Doing it on something that legitimately looks like it hurts and then nailing a brutal move of your own right after.

I think Rollins is going to cash in the MITB contract on Reigns to win the belt, honestly, thus completing the circle.

If this is all an elaborate plan to put Ziggler over using the whole "injustice" angle then I take my hat of to the WWE. They are doing it great. Miz killed the crowd and Ziggler looked miserable.

But, this is the WWE, I'll wait until this develops before getting my hopes up.

I'm actually happy Miz won even though the ending was painfully obvious. I know Miz isn't popular around these parts but I think he's a good natural heel that WWE needs.

Still wish Zig would have won though.
