July Wrasslin’ |OT| The Ring’s a Field, the Field of War, That’s Where We Lay the Law

Replace Seth with literally any other wrestler on the show. Including Cena, and this sentence still applies.

Can't think of a single character they aren't actively screwing up right now... It's sad really.

nah, Seth's case is worse than usual. mentioned before but he essentially went from smartest guy in the company to dumbest. it's grating. his feud with Dean makes sense but been awfully booked. there's no build up, nothing.

Hm, Miz I can see, but he only just came back. Sheamus has stalled and has no direction at all. Reigns, is fine I suppose. So yeah, lets go with Reigns.

Sheamus has stalled and has no direction at all.

I think sometimes a guy having a belt and consistently defending it against challengers is enough direction. This month was an exception for him because of the IC Battle Royal. Not every guy has to be in a complex and intricate story.

Would've been cool if Dean crushed his car into a cube and left it where it was parked doe.

WHY ME?

This Simpsons World app I'm hearing about makes the WWE Network's lackluster features list look like shit:

*every episode of The Simpsons ever
*a search function that lets you search and share clips, like every appearance by a minor character
*ability to create playlists
*the app can recommend similar episodes based on your playlist and viewing habits

And it only requires a cable subscription, which most people already have, and a deal between the cable provider and FX, which is fairly widespread.

Get off your ass, WWE, and improve the actual functionality of the Network.

Is that phone/tablet only, or they doing a web version?

The fourth related result for 'Sara Del Rey' on google is 'feet.' Still not sure if that's worse than how concerned the internet seems to be with The Shield's girlfriends though.
Do that test with *any* vaguely famous hot woman.

Boootay, as resident UK Wrassle-GAF king, how do you feel about Jimmy Havoc at ICW?
It seems like the exact same thing he's doing at Progress, but without the reasoning.

To be fair, that Simpsons app isn't relying on subscribers to it and only it to keep itself profitable. Those type of deals are paid by the cable companies, so they make money no matter how many people use it. So it's not a 1:1 comparison by any means.

That said, the Network does need feature upgrades in short order.

They announced it for iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Apple TV, Samsung, XBox1 and XBox360.

True, the economics are very different. But in terms of usage, I'd much more likely load the Simpsons app to screw around or watch a random episode than load the Network and watch the limited number of original content on the Network or old 3 hour PPVs.

Who's this scrawny goof? He'll never amount to anything in this biz, brother;

Thank's for coming, Rick;

Hacksaw gave him next to nothing in this match, but he still came out of it looking pretty good. Nice punches, though - it was much harder to stand out as a good puncher back then, as so many guys threw good punches.

"Only" requires a cable subscription.

Battleground sucked/10.

Love the avatar by the way.
Aw :(

And thanks.
3/10. Automatically loses three points for the match I was most interested in not even happening. Mix in a bunch of bad finishes, an insane amount of botches, boring matches (outside of the tag match), a dead crowd (possibly their fault, but they didn't give them much to make noise about), etc. All that equals a bad show.
Botches can be entertaining though.

Still cannot decide wether this was intentionally or a botch. It is obviously never going to work as a spear with Paige trying to push AJ against the middle rope, she is just too small to bend over the middle rope and you can't spear her through the bottom and middle rope either. I think the spot might be exactly what they did and it just look awkward due to Paige running and then slowing down or something.

It's just weird lol.

I cut the cable cord last year, and not looking to go back.

Though I do miss hanging out here every Monday for Raw. :(

Not surprised Jimmy's turning heel elsewhere, his run in PROGRESS has shown he's got a knack for playing the bastard, so it only makes sense to bring the act to other promotions and it works well for ICW, where he has quite a history.

I've been meaning to check out ICW - I like that they don't use a ton of imports, but wouldn't mind a few more 'names' from the British wrestling scene on their shows.

Since I'm going to RAW tonight with a buddy and his significant other, I'm hoping the Ascension debut. What better way to make me happy than to hear the best CFO$ song looping every 25 seconds and hearing screams of 'YAH YAH YAH!'

My point being that WWE holds things back so when six months comes up for most (August-September) they can put out stuff people really want, like Monday Night War stuff, in order to encourage people to re-sub. Simpsons doesn't have to hold anything back, as they don't depend on subscribers they have to placate at any given time.

If you are still receiving your internet through Comcast chances are good you can watch USA for free. Call your rep and ask for the free digital receiver.

That's cool, but we had DirecTV.

I'm at least getting my wrasslin' fix through WWE Network though.

Do you watch Raw? Do you watch ESPN or Fox Sports? Do you watch TNT, TBS, FX, or AMC? Do you watch Food Network or HGTV?

Cable subscriptions are ubiquitous in America. Let's not act like it's some rare thing that nobody has these days.

Let's not act like it's something that "everyone has" or can just easily get. Not everyone can afford cable.

I'm all for bashing continuity, but Seth Rollins leaving isn't something to bash. HHH had security escort him out of the building to protect him. It's pretty obvious Ambrose doing his Pillman impression kayfabe made HHH just say, "Fuck it, get out of here, Rollins."

Aja Kong, still wrestled past 25
Toyota, still wrestled past 25.
Nakano, still wrestled past 25
Dynamite Kansai, still wrestled past 24

You probably shouldn't talk about something you know nothing about

My bad, AJW's mandatory retirement age was 26.

Keep fucking that chicken Dragonzord.

I Google searched for WWE's statement on Lana's promo, and the dirt site posting it had this to say:

It’s a tragedy what happened with the MH17 plane being shot down in the sky, but can you really blame WWE for trying to gain heat from it? Lana and Rusev are Russian characters. It was bound to happen.

Wrestling, folks.

It's ok if Brock runs roughshod over Raw, throws Lillian Garcia and punts Torito into the crowd, treats Heath Slater or Justin Gabriel like he's Spike Dudley, and generally terrorizes Raw until he gets a match at SummerSlam against Cena. Cena responds next week.

None of this will happen, and it'll be yet another Paul Heyman promo and a short Brock promo declaring themselves contenders and laying out a challenge for Cena for SummerSlam.
