July Wrasslin' |OT| All this G1 talk is making me Climax.

I was always a fan of the World X Cup. I think it was the entire year or so Scott D'Amore ran that I enjoyed too. I think that was 2005-2006 or so. Damn, I used to think Lance Hoyt was going to be the next big thing... I still can't let go of the inner Diesel mark that lies dormant within.

Okay, well...whichever promotion had those awesome joshi matches in the 90s. :) Any suggestions? And is there good or maybe even great modern joshi?

Good modern Joshi, watch Sendai Girls & STARDOM. You'll find some over at; http://tinyurl.com/RealHeroArchive there's some classic AJW on there as well.

As for recommendations, here's some great matches;

Manami Toyota vs Toshio Yamada - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OeSiNdZH7o
Aja Kong vs Manami Toyota - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrE-o-L3RZ4
Bull Nakano vs Aja Kong - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEuXwxhyg4o
Akira Hokuto vs Shinobu Kandori - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wWsh01IIfI
Kyoko Inoue vs Akira Hokuto - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFtMZS4okPg

Lance Hoyt had a good look. He's done okay as Lance Archer in Japan, but I don't know if he had even Test's promo ability, if we're comparing could-have-been-Diesels.

From much earlier in the thread (that was somehow only four days ago), my list of TNA's best year by year: http://m.neogaf.com/showpost.php?p=242340225

And they're running another Super X Cup this year with some intriguing participants.

Wait, we missed Pac get jobbed out by the refs.

Go back to your government as they round up drug addicts and murder them, you chump.

I'm so fucking pissed I missed that fight (being off social media + the G1 special combined made me straight up forget), loooove seeing Pacquiao lose.

Wait you think that they'll go after the Drive?

Please god no

No, but without no shows available for free, it's hard for me to see anyone care about HEAT UP or K-Dojo enough to pay $4 to watch it or to recommend to other people. Then again, these companies probably don't care about international press.

The big BJW and AJPE shows from Korakuen and Sumo Hall should still air on Gaora or Samurai TV, so it should still be okay to follow AJPW and BJW.

Watch these too

Manami Toyota & Toshiyo Yamada vs Dynamite Kansai & Mayumi Ozaki(2 out of 3 falls)

Manami Toyota & Toshiyo Yamada vs Dynamite Kansai & Mayumi Ozaki(rematch 5 starz)

As for modern, this match between Hiroyo Matsumoto vs Arisa Nakajima is probably my womens' match of the year so far

GFW's Impact Wrestling's Super X Cup participants this year:

Sammy Guevara
Drago
ACH
Andrew Everett
Taiko Ishimori
Davey Richards
Desmond Xavier
Idris Abraham

TNA has 2 Super X Cup matches on tomorrow:

ACH vs Andrew Everett
Desmond Xavier vs Idris Abraham

Not a bad little group, actually.

Hard to believe that ACH wrestled in the NJPW's Best of the Super Juniors and in TNA's Super X Cup in the same year.

Desmond is going to be in this year's PWG Battle of Los Angeles too.

Desmond is going to be in this year's PWG Battle of Los Angeles too.

He seems to be booked in a lot more places this year, so it could be time for him to break out.

Speaking of which, this year's BOLA field so far:
Dezmond Xavier
Donovan Dijak
Flamita
Keith Lee
Rey Fenix
Travis Banks
Walter

Not a bad group so far.

The K-Dojo show on that NicoPro channel in 11 hours or so has a great looking main event: TAKA & MiSu vs Ayato Yoshida & GO Asukawa! Gonna be watching the DG iPPV live, but definitely catching the K-Dojo replay.

I hope Nocturnowl is watching GDQ, they're putting his boy Coo over huge!

What did I miss?!
Damn it, when I last tuned in it was a very unthrilling Startropics run.
I'm already miffed I missed the Sonic block, I came in towards the end of colours and was left shook by some of the skips in the asteroid coaster stages.

They played Dream Land 2, and they were talking about how important Coo was when it comes to going fast and killing bosses.

I need your help dudes. I currently find my self in the internal struggle that all WrassleGAFfers do most of the time.
Do I validate a Heroman comment with a response?

The downfall of tna was that it was WWE lite.

Exactly right.
They had amazing tag teams, that were doing great things but they brought in the Dudleys and everyone else became jobbers.
Then Angle came in and again, everyone was jobbing and all of your tv time was being given to people who the WWE either did not want anymore, or wellness violated and released. And then those people just brought in their friends. And tv rotated around them (and of course Jarrett would somehow always get his face mixed in) but it stopped becoming something fresh and different and became has been city.
