July Wrasslin |OT| The Game, The Kane, The Pain, and The Insane (AJ)

A Pretty Panda

fuckin' called it, man
I'm always amazed when someone says this. I always wonder why someone would start watching after the attitude era ended. However, 2004 was a damn good year for the product, and the last year before Cena took over.

I was a child during the attitude era. I had cousins who watched it and stuff, hell my grandfather still watches it. I'd see what was going on and thought it was pretty boring, but I really wasn't paying attention to it.

The reason I started watching in 04 was because I was playing the Gamecube games at my cousins house. Played for about a year until I finally started watching it in like mid 04. First match I remember watching during that time was RVD, Rey, and Hardcore Holly, vs. The Dudleys. I think I was impressed by all the high flying stuff.

Even if I watched during the attitude era a lot of it would fly right over my head since I was young.

Sin Cara and Drew McIntyre have some pretty good chemistry in the ring.

Their matches on Superstars the past two weeks have been fun.

Kiiinda just sounds like a troll.

But please continue if there is anymore.

In less than a year, Heavy had become the most prominent poster in WrassleGaf. While others may have topped him in sheer number of posts, no other member was more quoted or scrutinized. One post from Heavy was worth ten from any other WrassleGaffer.

Heavy was the last bastion of the WWE amid a sea of growing hate and apathy. He set himself apart and as a result, and drew more attention than anyone else. The vast majority of the thread, who now despised the WWE, followed Heavy's posts with morbid curiosity. They wanted to see how anyone could possibly redeem a particularly awful Raw or watch him finally break down and give up just as they had before. For the few who liked WWE, Heavy was their champion. The routine was all too familiar:
A new poster who likes WWE stumbles upon WrassleGaf and decides to post in the thread after an episode of Raw. He gets Wrecked® by Net_Wrecker's negative schtick and finds in Heavy, not only a common bond but someone who can match Net_Wrecker blow for blow.

Having made his mark on WrassleGaf, Heavy ventured out into other threads. The same notoriety that took months for him to cultivate in WrassleGaf, took only a matter of weeks in SportsGaf. With a brand new tag under his name, Heavy was on his way to becoming a full-fledged forum personality. However, things would soon take a turn for the worst back in his home base.

For the people who anticipated the day when Heavy would break, the wait was finally over. On the Road to Wrestlemania, The Rock and John Cena met face to face in the ring and exchanged barbs that culminated in Cena pointing out the notes clearly visible on Rock's wrist. The debate about whether this was real or staged carried on long after the show had ended, with Heavy seemingly convinced that it was a shoot by Cena. As the thread collectively seemed to side against Heavy, he grew vehemently convinced that he was right and would aggressively attack anyone that questioned his reasoning. When WrassleGaffer Kyoufu had finally seen enough, he questioned whether Heavy was even genuine at all or just a "troll character". Utterly appalled at the accusation, before the biggest wrestling show of the year and at the height of his popularity, Heavy announced that he was leaving WrassleGaf.

bean's covered wars, ya know.

4 Star Journalism goin' on in here. I'm sort of being depicted as a villain, but my shoot interview will clear all that up.

Dragon Gate - CIMA & Dragon Kid vs Ricochet & Rich Swann

All worth a watch.

Huge spoiler from New Japan;

Kota Ibushi defeated Low-Ki with the Phoenix Splash in just under 20 minutes to become the new IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion
!

Also, the semi-finals are set for the All Japan Jr. Hyper League and will take place at their Korakuen Hall show on 07/27;

Semi-Final #1;
Koji Kanemoto vs Hiroshi Yamato
Semi-Final #2;
Shuji Kondo vs KAI

Plus, also on the 07/27 show, Masakatsu Funaki, now fully healed and out for revenge, faces off against the legendary Yuji Nagata who broke Funaki's face with a high knee over six months ago. This one should prove to be epic. As for the tag league, I'd like to see
Kondo go over Kanemoto in the final, or maybe a Kondo vs Yamato final
.

Dragon Gate USA
Enter The Dragon 2012: Third Anniversary Celebration
Sunday, July 29th
Chicago, IL
Belltime: 7pm CST/8pm EST

Main Event #1 - Open The United Gate Decision Match
CIMA & AR Fox vs. Ricochet & Rich Swann

CIMA & Ricochet never lost the tag titles, but they are now in different stables. They were each told to choose a new partner for this decision match. This is the first time this mentor/protege combination have been on opposite sides. This starts a new era of tag team wrestling in DGUSA/EVOLVE with these two exciting, fresh duos.

Main Event #2 - Dream Match
El Generico vs. Akira Tozawa with Christina Von Eerie

The term "Dream Match" is thrown around loosely these days. It applies here when it comes to arguably the two most outstanding wrestlers in the world. This incident only serves to heat it up.

Main Event #3 - I Quit Match
Johnny Gargano vs. Chuck Taylor

There is a long history between these two. Simply, they hate each other. Now the feud will come to an end and there will be no rules. It goes on till one says I Quit. Expect this to get violent. Here's a video look at their history leading to last month's title match, which was so wild that tonight's rematch was signed.

Special Attraction Match
YAMATO vs. Jon Davis

YAMATO is the only man to hold both the top titles in Dragon Gate and Dragon Gate USA. He wants his top spot back. Jon Davis has said he will win or go home. Can Davis follow up on the momentum of Style Battle to defeat someone of the stature of YAMATO?

Special Attraction Tag Team Match
Super Smash Brothers vs. Arik Cannon & Pinkie Sanchez

You want tag team wrestling? This card has it! The Super Smash Brothers are having a breakout year. Cannon & Sanchez are part of one of DGUSA's top stables in D.U.F. This could be the show stealer!

Special Challenge Tag Team Match
The Scene vs. Zero Gravity

The Scene of Caleb Konley & Scott Reed with Larry Dallas look to climb the card while high-flyers Zero Gravity try to earn a spot. These are two duos to keep an eye on

Special Challenge Match
Samuray Del Sol vs. Shane Hollister

Samuray Del Sol is one of the most unique, exciting competitors around. Shane Hollister is on the verge of breaking out. This is important to both athlete's careers.

Special Challenge Match
Masada vs. Jake Manning

Can the "Man Scout" stop the destruction of Masada?

Possible face turn for Drew McIntyre?

7/28 SMACKDOWN BRAND RESULTS FROM JOHNSON CITY, TN

Ted DiBiase Jr. vs. Hunico never started. Camacho attacked Ted, then Drew McIntyre came out and teased that he was going join them but helped Ted instead. This led to them beating Hunico and Camacho.

http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.php?id=70608&p=1

It could very well be nothing though. They've had Drew do multiple different things on house shows over the past year that didn't end up on TV:

-Team up with Wade Barrett
-"American Nightmare" gimmick
-Playboy gimmick

Hasn't Drew been a face for a while now?

I think he's still been Heel on TV.

Man, it's like after winning the IC title these days, you fade into obscurity or get stuck someplace else.

For example, the last couple of former champs:
-Cody Rhodes: Lost his "crazy" gimmick; just sorta not doing a lot these days other than some tag matches. (Still better off than some.)
-Big Show: Jobbing to Cena and beating up other jobbers/wrestlers. (Ok, he's doing well-ish.)
-Ezekiel Jackson: Hardly seen on TV anymore.
-Wade Barrett: Got injured; missing since February.
-Kofi Kingston: Stuck in Tag Team hell with R-Truth.
-Dolph Ziggler: The great exception to the fact! He's actually doing pretty well these days.

When he returned after his first long absence, everyone had forgotten about the shitty episode of Raw that he swore would be great. On a related note, people still remember the shitty episode of Impact from last Summer that Spindashing hyped and to this day, many refuse to watch the show as a result.

Heavy's tolerance for negative criticism against the WWE was beginning to wear thin. He was becoming well known for attacking anyone who posted about how awful Raw was. He also began disclosing personal information about himself which ultimately cemented his place atop the WrassleGaf roster.

He began to disturbingly critique the appearance of certain wrestlers. He posted a close up pic of his most hated wrestler, Sheamus', ass and noted how disgustingly pale and pasty it is. After an old pic of CM Punk with chest hair was posted, Heavy pondered whether Punk's thick chest hair continued down his stomach, connected to his pubis, and ultimately his ass. Which he imagined was covered in a dense forest of hair.

Later, he revealed that after not having showered for a week, how great he felt because he had just washed his balls in the sink.

Ok so you don't even know who I am and haven't been following the thread for long at all yet you've been ripping on me consistently for weeks.

I remember when Heavy flipped out on me and quit the thread briefly. I can't remember what I said that made him so mad though :(
