Well, in 1985, when you were just turning 1, Flair was approaching the 2 year mark as the World's Heavyweight Champion, and looked unbeatable. So he headed into Starrcade, with Dusty as his opponent, and the Horsemen decided to get a little insurance heading into the match.
THAT'S A GODDAMNED MUGGING
WHY WAS A TV CREW FILMING THIS, CALL THE HOSPITAL
What a shitty assed day.
Christoper Lee, Ron Moody and now Dusty Rhodes...
Why are you guys even trying to reason with this schmuck? He's probably just jacking off to all the attention. How the kid isn't banned, I have no idea. It's pathetic.
Oh, ya know? Didn't consider that. I've never Ignored anyone on here, but I think now's the time. Thanks.
- Ric FlairToday, I lost one of my greatest opponents and greatest friends. He was the definition of heart and soul and Im honored to have shared the ring with him countless times.
He became the American Dream because wrestling needed a hero they could respect, and he was the man for the job. Dusty Rhodes, I will miss you my mentor and friend.
We each have our own personal way of coping with tragedy. Most with sadness, some with humor, others with anger. I'd hope everyone understands that, and that cooler heads prevail.

Even the servers are mourning...like holy crap GAF is slow today. Dat E3 fever :/
ROH at 8pm: 161,000
TNA at 9pm: 330,000
ROH at 11pm: 138,000
Here is the Viewership for ROH and TNA for Wed:
TNA was up 33,000 and ROH was up 26,000 for the combined shows. Right now it seems the ROH and TNA fans just watch their shows and not watch both.
299k people is great for ROH. I think?
**Steve Austin noted on his Unleashed podcast today that he is scheduled for 11 more podcast specials on the WWE Network and would indicate that they worked out a one-year deal for a podcast per month on the network. In the press release last month, the WWE noted that Sting and The Undertaker are scheduled to do the show but no dates were given for those interviews

Over in the Reddit thread there's a great collection of tweets from everyone in the wrestling world giving Dusty their love. It was nice reading through them. He left a positive impact on a large swath of people.

Steam Sale today too!
Nothing really all that good today though.
I checked the comments of that Flair article and one of our friends over there made a very good point about Dusty's era verse today
Sad reminder that the American Dream was one of a dying breed
Why does some rinky-dink $1 XBLIG game (Action Arcade Wrestling 2) capture the feel of the AKI games better than any retail wrestling game in the last 10 years?
Shit, I just realized, the Sony E3 press conference is at the same time as Raw Monday night at 9pm EST.

Two shows an hour longer than necessary with the first fifteen minutes of authority figures talking about the same old stuff you heard the last time they cut a promo with an audience chomping at the bit for those cheap pops, I can't decide!Shit, I just realized, the Sony E3 press conference is at the same time as Raw Monday night at 9pm EST.
Does anyone else find it just a tad strange that a personality like Steve Austin (or at least the character he presented) has gone all-in on technology/social media/the internet post-retirement? If you'd have told me in his prime that he'd be doing something like this I'd be like "he looks and sounds like he doesn't even know how to turn a computer on". Maybe that's the mark in me.
He's always seemed like a smart dude so him adapting to the times seems par for the course, to me at least.Does anyone else find it just a tad strange that a personality like Steve Austin (or at least the character he presented) has gone all-in on technology/social media/the internet post-retirement?
