Damn Daniel Bryan went nuutss, that was pretty cool. Still love it how Punk/Brian are so big now in WWE after where they came from.

WrassleGAF would've bitched SO HARD if that was Cena single-handedly destroying The Shield. Hopefully this will give WWE a clue as to when it is and isn't appropriate to use superman booking.

NICE! Williams vs Darr seems like it could be a freaking awesome matchup, although, as you said, it's good that Doug will be there to properly pace the match. It's easy to forget that Noam's just 19 years old.

How huge was Johnny Moss in person? The guy always looks HUGE whenever I've seen him on wXw DVDs from Germany.

If Cena had done it, it would have been "The Shield are suddenly bumbling idiots walking one by one into his slow, repetitive moves". Bryan looked like he overpowered the Shield through speed and intensity, which is fine.

Exactly, which is why it was appropriate for Bryan to have that 'superman' moment - he made it believable through his intensity and finesse. Cena's 'superman' moments are only believable if you buy into Cena's character.

Did JBL get Curt Hawkins confused with Zack Ryder or something?

Shinsuke is apparently wrestling again in Mexico in 15 days, so either
he wins the title back then, or they set up a La Sombra (c) vs Nakamura title match for the New Japan DOMINION iPPV on 06/22
.
Oh god please be the second one.

Actually it might be now that I think about it.
The card for DOMINION seems a little thin to me. Like it's one match short. An IC title defense is obviously missing from the card. I chalked it up to the Best of the Super Juniors tournament taking up a lot of time, but maybe they have something cool in the works.

Yeah, the card is definitely a little thin at the moment, but I think it'll shape up something like this in the coming weeks;

1. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Title Match: Forever Hooligans (c) vs Time Splitters
2. Random 8-man tag, Suzuki-gun vs CHAOS, or something.
3. BULLET CLUB vs Tanahashi & some faces
4. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title Match:
I'm guessing Devitt loses to BUSHI in the finals of the Super Jr's to set up this match
5. Tetsuya Naito vs Yujiro Takahashi
6. IWGP Heavyweight Tag Title 3-Way Match: TenKoji (c) vs K.E.S. vs CHAOS
7. Hirooki Goto vs Katsuyori Shibata
8. IWGP Intercontinental Title Match:
La Sombra (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura, hopefully
9. IWGP Heavyweight Title - Hardcore Match: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs Togi Makabe

There's also likely to be more NWA involvement somewhere (ugh), as Bruce Tharp-des appeared in a video package at the Super Jr's, further challenging anyone from New Japan to take on Rob Conway;

Q: Thoughts on the rock as a wrestler? On his acting skills and do you think you'd have a chance I you were to challenge him?

A: I think that hes like most 3rd generation wrestlers, the rock has been going to matches since hes been walking and there is no substitute for 2nd or third generation wrestlers, not to mention he was a great athlete before he even put boots on. when I had retired I move from dallas to my home town of Louisville ky. my son wanted to go to a wwf show. so I took he and a friend of his and they let me in the back like I was still a wrestler because I had so many friends working. even though Dwayne was main eventing that night, he spent a half hour talking with my son and his friend, for that ill always be a rock fan. and as far as his acting abilities "be cool" the character he played was so unlike him in real life, I thought he did a great job as an actor and hes grown with each role. so I am a rock fan, at the peak of my career I believe we would have torn the house down if we had a match together, the guy is a performer.

Goddamn, that Moondog blade job story is surreal - lol at Hector Guerrero, cold blooded;

"I once worked a tv match for USA wreslting out of Knoxville Tennessee and was watching the matches from the back on the monitor, in the ring was the Mongolian stomper and one of the moondogs in a tag match against two young guys. It was decided before the match that the stomper would kick one of the boys in the head and open a cut, since the young guy had never performed a blade job it was decided that the moondog would cut him. He cut the entire length of the kids forehead and he laid in the corner bleeding buckets, when they brought him back to the dressing room he was gushing blood and all the old wrestlers were messing with him telling him "that's a terrible cut" the promoters were getting made at us for messing with him and asking us to stop because he was scared. they laid him down on the table and used cold compresses to get him to stop bleeding, hector guererro,eddies brother, came up to the kid and told him "Oh my god I saw a guy once die from a cut just like that!" the guy being scared to death his heart rate rose and the cut shot blood three feet in the air. Ive never seen a promoter that mad."

Noooooo,
Taichi's dominance has ended :( - Titan beat him in the Super Jr's today
. Also, guess I can forget what I predicted about the Jr Heavyweight Title above as
'boring weapon' Taguchi beat BUSHI
.

2: Taichi [8]
3: Rocky Romero [4]
-: Jushin Thunder Liger [4]
-: Ricochet [4]
-: Titan [4]

8: Barreta [2]
9: Hiromu Takahashi [0]

I'm halfway through last night's Evolve show. Eita vs Tomahawk T.T. was awesome.

Good show so far, hope it gets better.

Edit: Superkick party baby, all night long.

The entertainment match on Thursday's Evolve show....eh I could take it or leave it. It was probably fun live, but eh.

Score. It's not like Aliens 3 & 4 are worth a damn anyways.

[WhedonFanBoy]Hey, Aliens 4 is better than most give it credit for. [/WhedonFanBoy]

Lol, awesome stipulation - if KENTA loses the GHC Heavyweight Title to Toru Yano tomorrow, he has to become an employee of Yano's bar in Tokyo;

True, but it's still not a patch on the first two.

Also, while I'm at it, Alien > Aliens.

It has been said before, but Samuray Del Sol is something special.

Edit: Suicide dive into a tornado DDT onto the floor....amazing.

That's true, but I wanted them for the bonus features.

Aliens Resurrection is awful. It's really, really bad. One of the worst films I'd ever seen until both AvP movies.

There is such a fine line between pro wrestler ring names and male porn star names.

So, NXT.

Why haven't I been watching this every week?

It's just such a better show. Gimmicks! Managers! Tag Teams! Divas! Fun! It's everything that RAW and Smackdown should be.

Seriously, I don't get it. They are two completely different products. NXT is a throwback to when wrestling was GOOD. It's almost as if Vince and his goon squad don't have anything to do with NXT.

Best of Evolve 20: Eita vs Tomahawk T.T. and Anthony Neese vs Samuray Del Sol, the main event was ok, but I don't buy the Young Bucks as singles competitors so while it was good wrestling, it didn't do much for me.

The undercard was decent, and the angle they ran with the Young Bucks attacking Eita and Tomahawk T.T. and refusing to be fined or suspended by Evolve for it because they're too important to the promotion might be what the YB needed to get fans to stop cheering for them. They're too over for a heel tag team.

Vince doesn't really have much to do with NXT at all. It's Triple H (head of talent relations and development) and Dusty Rhodes (head creative for NXT) who are over the product.

They don't. HHH oversees NXT instead of Vince, and Dusty Rhodes heads up Creative instead of Stephanie. Between them they're making HHH's idea of a wrestling promotion.
You'd notice Vince hasn't had a single thing to do with NXT since it got revamped, all the press conferences, events, performance center announcement, etc, have HHH as the spokesman.

Definitely got to check out that EITA/Tomahawk match sometime.

I'm pretty sure that's the reason why it's so good - free of Vince's meddling, a smaller creative team, one head booker in charge of the show (Dusty, iirc?).

As far as I know, it goes HHH overseeing (like Vince does to the main shows) >>>> Dusty Rhodes as Creative head >>>> small team of newer writers = What you see on TV. Then you've got all the trainers, etc, that factor into the actual matches.

That's exactly it. HHH and Dusty are in control of NXT. Vince has nothing to do with it, which is why it is so good.
