So does the game get HARDER? Rico is a bullet sponge and when I get in trouble I just parachute and wing suit out of harms way.

Ugh I want to like this game more than I can ... the load times are absolutely criminal. I've been waiting for a load for like 10 minutes now and it's still going. This is insane, and it's not like you can stop it for fear of corrupting a save or something. I like so much about it, but this just destroys the fun.

Sometimes, it loads fast, sometimes it takes a minute or two, then for no discernible reason, you get these ungodly waits. I've actually been playing as long as I've been waiting for a load this time ...

Edit: Total load time just over 10 1/2 minutes on the PS4 ... crazy.

If a load lasts longer than a minute, hit the PS button and load up the store, then go back to the game. This usually helps.

I'm pretty sure the long load times are due to server handshake problems.

I'll try that next time ... but, I shouldn't have to. Plus, why should it need to check with the server to load the game? That's just terrible in a one player game. Just check after it loads ...

Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Which makes me hope the load time bug will be easy for them to fix.

I've just started 2 how hard does it get from there

For me, I've started going into some bases and noticed it is marginally more difficult but nothing super challenging as far as the normal combat goes. There are enemies that take even more hits now, the brute/heavy type is around in Act 2 where I am. Depending on the base, getting around might be harder and it seems they are putting in a few more soldiers than normal. The base I recently liberated had a ton of heavy gunners, people with body armor, and two gunboats that had the targeting cannons. It was the toughest base so far. I actually died twice but from where I am, but from where I am I would not say there is a difficulty spike or anything

Uuuhhmm... Anyone else getting smooth performance and snappy loading times around and after the mission where Mario gets injured?

I had to check the games version cause I thought it got patched. o_O

Stuck in performing online login screen. I'm going to leave it as is to see how long it'll last.
I really shouldn't have to go into steam's offline mode to avoid this shit.

Yup you guys are right.

Tried restarting a wing suit challenge normally: 3.5 minute reload.

Tried again and backed out to the store. .5 minute reload.

I have 133/135 Wingsuit Gears. The Montana Mountain and The Maxime ones have some very difficult sections at speed. I have gotten 5 gears on every other wingsuit course though. Also, liberated the entire country and found all collectibles (minus the jumps) since liberating a province gives you the location of each thing.

What system?

PS4. I mean I've played a lot, but not THAT much. Chaos score is around 32,000.

Also I don't get the feats scores either. It's saying I'm #1 in parachute climbing, but #1 out of what? There's no way that's the world?

Oh the mile high club is still there.

Just these days it's more the "down to earth club"

Sweet!! Didn't click the spoiler, hope to find it for myself.

I just realized this game does the whole "new region, all stronger enemies" which would be fine in most cases but getting bombarded with super weapons and not being able to move really gets annoying in some bases.

Every region has a main base of sorts with an undefeatable superweapon as defense system. You're best off to just circle around said base until you unlock the main mission to disable its weapon system.

Without that it is literally impossible to enter the base.

Region 1 has
carpet bomb runs
Region 2 has
an EMP device
Region 3 has
infinite barrage of barium nukes

It's been a struggle, but I can't say no to free games.

Too true .

I really hope they make the necessary nips and tucks to get the framerate stabilized across the board.

This game needs it. Hell, I need it. I want this game to last me.

Is anyone else pissed off there's no gamma settings on consoles ?

Bit of the Naughty Dog crushed blacks curse in this one.

It isn't literally impossible. I cleared Region 3's Centcom before disabling the superweapon. It's difficult and you'll die a couple times, but it's doable.

I didn't have that much time to play in the last two days and I only liberated the first island so far. Man, the story missions are so forgettable and they're the worst kind, because I hate escort missions. Thankfully I didn't buy this game for the story. :)

Try playing signed out of PSN. Dramatically cut down load times for me.

Somebody already went to the island on the top left of the card?

it's not related to any region, is it a Lost-Island again or something different?

somehow i want to know, but otherwise i want to find out myself ^^

I used the FOW in the first region against the base, didn't fire a shot and they blew up their whole goddamn base trying to kill me.

I'm hoping that something like that is in the works for an official release on all platforms. If I recall, they said that the game wouldn't launch with multiplayer, without saying that the game would never have multiplayer.

Would be amazing for this game. I don't care about a mass multiplayer because it won't work. Co-op with 2 players or max 4 players and then mission based plus free roam (same ass the single player).

I did the same thing. That was some of the most fun I've had in this game. Really quite silly watching them blow up so much.

If I remember right, even though the rebel have control of the base now, they still constantly get carpet bombed every time I go there.

On PS4 I did notice some of the challenges would load really fast and then others would still take a long time.

I thought the same thing at first.

Is there a way to get more than 3 shots with that portable FOW? It's useless against moving targets and weapons lockers never have ammo for it but it's such a beautiful weapon when annihilating liberating a base.

Question: is the open world similar to that of jc2, ie gigantic with tons of wasted open space? Any npc interaction?

I know about those. The one I had trouble with was multiple boats as backup that had massive cannons. Once I was hit, Rico was occasionally trapped and killed by the boats alternating their attack.

There is a challenge type that raises special ammo. Gotta do the minigames.

Some NPC stuff like side missions but a lot of the potential seems wasted here. Passing by NPCs...a lot of them will recognize and talk to you. Well more like talk at you. One guy mentioned that I ruined his vacation in Panau and now here. Others mentioned the hotel staff mentioned me to them. Etc.

False. I've destroyed the first base with an attack helicopter without even realizing this defense system was in place (I knew only once I was balls deep destroying stuff).

Then sometime after I did the mission to disable the security system lol.

Right, think I mentioned this before but in about an hour I am interviewing some Square Enix Europe people and I am seeing if anybody here has questions they would want me to ask them about JC3?

Why remove sprint, crouch, roll, and vehicle steering wheel stunting? Any possibility of tweaks to steering vehicles, or the ability to adjust control layout and HUD elements?

If it were me, I'd be going in hard about how poorly optimized the console versions are, but I suspect you are after a more affable line of questioning.

Why December?, I mean the game is clearly not optimized, why the rush to get it out after black Friday instead of delaying until February or something?

Are they happy with the sales so far? I imagine there is bad word of mouth due to the issues and that can't be good for sales which also makes me worry about the future for the series
