what's going on with these supersized logos?
examples other than the one from the OP would be RL Polo and Lacoste shirts - today these bear logos that are at least quadruple the size of what i was used to - and they're original. couple of years ago you could be sure that an item bearing a supersized brand-name was fake as fuck, but now... smh.

The logos are literally the only reason you're spending all that cash on brand-clothing.

It makes sense if you think about it to make them that big.

no it doesn't. these brands grew/were big over decades with the small logos. it's a contemporary trend, not a marketing stunt.
but what's really puzzling me is, as stated above, that big logos were frowned upon just years ago. it was considered cheap, it stood for fake. now it seems like the complete opposite.

The brand is, not the logo. Too big of a logo can become tacky and detrimental for the brand.
