didn't realize so many people dislike brave bros, after reading reactions to him working on 4minute's new song. ;_;
I think it's more a mix of what he is to the industry and what 4minute is or has been. Let's think...
1) He surprises you sometimes, but then he rehashes the same concept several times before inventing something new, so there is a worry you won't get the fresh new thing.
2) He has been giving his good shit to Sistar for a while and never worked with 4minute before, adding more concern.
3) His signature is clean digital sounds on a beat that is fun but predictable, his songs build but don't go anywhere, safe electric party music. 4minute has more experimental beats and sounds, hit harder and heavier, and have an edgier style.
4) 4minute said they'd be going back to their roots. Well their early stuff was even more raw than their new stuff. They have been experimenting with other genres lately, still edgy but more elaborate and carefully arranged productions. Many had hoped going to their roots meant hard beats and 120% attitude. Brave Brothers just doesn't seem capable of this.
5) Autotune pisses people off so the teasers aren't an entirely positive experience.
6) He has been really active lately so people might just be sick of his style for now.
7) While safe, he is also often effective. If 4minute starts getting #1 position (uncommon) from a Brave Brothers song, that is worrying to maintaining what is considered the group's stylistic identity and the desire of the members to be something creative, mature, and different without concern of getting all kills.
