Yesterday I've received 2011 Girls' Generation Tour DVD, and I've just finished it,
it was the most spectacular and passionate show I've ever seen in my whole life.
These girls are the best, by far.
Still pissed that I didn't get it before I left on vacation. I ended up marathoning Answer Me 1997:
Answer Me 1997, berry berry good yo. This is the type of drama I can watch, fast paced with twists that are revealed smartly. I thought they skipped over one plot point but answered it with the final scene. Pretty much no wasted scenes as some shots were puzzling as to why it was shown but all explained in flashbacks after you've forgotten about it.
Eunji is a perfect example of the power of make-up. Saw her on another show and she was cute, on Answer Me 1997 where she is wearing no makeup (or makeup that makes it look like she is not wearing makeup) = /pukegif. Pretty good acting even though the role had her be in a perma pmsing state. A+ for her kiss scenes in the later episodes.
I like Seo In-Guk from his 3rd wheel role in Yoona's Love Rain, dude came up, but I'm wondering if a lot of the cast got the role because they had authentic Busan accents.
Parents were great, especially the Dad (Sung Dong-il)...did they really just use his real name as the character's name...the whole show is one big meta so it wouldn't surprise me.
Speaking of meta, the whole Eun Jiwon meta was weird with him basically playing a alternate version of himself that didn't become Eun Jiwon, he even went to school in Hawaii like his true self. I guess he lives up to his Eun Choding nickname and was pretty believable as a 30ish acting like a high school kid.
I was tripping on Jooyeon from AS. I didn't even recognize her and had to look up who played her and was shocked to find out it was her. Long hair no bangs definitely suits her best.
Loved all the cameos and in jokes. Pretty much all the cameos were actors/actresses from KBS shows 1N2D, Qualifications of Men, and Gag Concert...I thought it was a KBS show for awhile.
