spink, I've got math-y rock bands and rock-y jazz groups in my collection as well. You might know Supersilent, to use a local example. They do their jazz improvised in a simulated (and sometimes real) live setting without anything written or planned and record it and that's their new album. 'Supersilent 6' got quite a lot of internet and editorial attention. The results are great and obviously more unpredictable than, say, the latest Shinsadong T-ara single. This does not mean it's better. It doesn't mean it's harder to do. It's probably easier once you've found the right guys to work with and the right chemistry. It's different, they say fuck you to structure and go at it. It's one form of expression. It's one outlet of creativity. If everyone did that the history of music would be sad, one-dimensional. Some people do it and it enriches the music world. Some people do other stuff and it enriches the music world.

Ok he's banned, shame.

Block B’s Zico and SPEED’s Taewoon’s duet revealed to have been canceled

It’s been belatedly revealed that plans for Block B‘s Zico and SPEED‘s Taewoon‘s duet have been dissolved.

According to Core Contents Media, there were plans for Taewoon to have a duet with his younger brother Zico in SPEED’s 1st album. However, it has been canceled because of various issues. The label said, “He is very disappointed.”

Hhmm going to guess and say that was from Star King. Soshified never really subbed Star King and they seem to be really behind on their current subbing. I know oniontaker subbed the Taengoo RM awhile ago but they never Soshified subbed it.

This whole business with Strong Heart 'ending' has been a bit weird. "The show's over. It's done. Finished. In fact, we're already working on its replacement," says SBS. Then it turns out the replacement is called Strong Heart 2. Good job guys...

yeah I know supersilent, they never really did much for me.
at no stage have I suggested that one type of music is better or worse, because that's a matter of subjectivity.
however, the technical proficiency and raw musical talent required to write music as complex that tera melos track I linked far exceed those used to make your average 4/4 kpop song. that isn't to say that the writers of kpop couldn't, but in all likelihood none of them would have it in them because that kind of talent is extremely rare.

Greater technical knowledge/capability? Sure, that can be quantified. 'Greater talent'? No, the talent of an artist is reflected in the quality of their output, and the quality of art is subjective.

also, i'm not saying you should watch this, because it was a horrible drama but, she makes yuri look ugly in Fashion King.

Wait, she was in 3 episodes? I think I've only seen her first and now ep 103. She was great in her first one. Really energetic and funny. What episode is her second? I'll have to find gifs of her in fashion king.
