Yeah the vinyl was too much for me too. They're limited though so I might have to get one soon.
The vocalist of indie rock band Siberian Husky Yoo Soo Yeon passed away on the 22nd, she committed suicide. Really sad news, the band had a lot of promise and I really loved their energy... she was also a friend of a close friend of mine. Reports are saying she was suffering from depression.

Not all bad news today, Oh Hee Jung has put out a remix EP featuring some pretty great artists doing remixes of her recent EP (Including Yukari, TAFKA Buddah, Palpal and more). Definitely worth checking out, some of the songs feel completely different from the originals:

+ her recent history of tweeting then quickly deleting the tweets (which I took to mean that she was uncomfortable with something)...
...but it still really sucks to hear the news. She's going to be greatly missed from 9Muses, but I hope she'll continue to sing for a career in some way. Main vocalist and the unofficial leader, this'll of course impact the group more than Eunji/Lee Sem so I'm no longer holdingunrealistic lofty hopes for the upcoming comeback, and hope that the fandom that 9Muses does actually have doesn't blow up in the meantime.

Welp, Nine Muses is screwed. Sera WAS the group, like someone else said.
If we get more Ryutube though, I don't really care. Sera seems happy interacting with people that way anyway and she's not getting fucked with by management like what was going on in the 9M documentary. Team Sera all the way.

why the RIP? Sera leaving 9 Muses is something she had to want for herself so she can have a better future. The easy thing to do was to resign with them and continue to be in a B tier idol group. There's an excellent chance she'll sign with a better agency. Her RYUTUBE clips have shown fans how talented she really is.

Bomi, Namjoo, and Naeun. What they are going to do with that mix that deviates from standard Apinkeu, I have no idea.
I'm thinking "electro-dance-cute" like Orange Caramel and Rainbow Pixie. Yeah, I just can't see them doing something wildly different - hip hop/sexed up/vocal ballad - as a subunit.
Edit: That wouldn't go down too badly in Japan either, which they are working on entering.

Disappointing news about Sera but it's perhaps not entirely surprising looking at how active she's been on Ryutube lately. I wonder if she'll strike out on her own and try to start a solo career, that'd be interesting. Kinda nervous about9 7 6 soon-to-be 7 Muses' comeback now though. Hyuna, Sungah and Kyungri were all new members and they're my 3 favourites, so maybe adding a new member won't be the end of the world, but I'm worried that they've just lost that spark they used to have. Hopefully they'll come back strong.
