Pieces, Part One is a real masterpiece.

It is considered by many to be their "magnum opus", it's a really good album. I'm inclined to lean towards their earlier stuff though. Shoebox really pleased me because it seems to be a good balance between the early hip-hop sounds of their first couple of albums and the more polished sound of their latter ones.

Swang Songs, their third album, has a special place in my heart too since it was the first album of theirs I actually bought back in '05. Kind of scary to think that album is almost 10 years old now.

Doesn't fit the series half as well as the theme and OST done by Nakata Yasutaka for the Japanese one:

Captured the atmosphere of the series perfectly. That and the weird visual stylings and oversaturated colours made it really appealing. Korean remake feels like a bland copy with pretty actors. The dude playing the Akiyama substitute doesn't fit the role at all, the Nao substitute is okay though she's no Erika Toda. Pretty disappointing really.

Actually rewatched the whole Japanese series again last year since I hadn't seen it since it first aired. Holds up still visually.

Liar Game may have disappointed me but TVN's other new drama Misaeng seems promising. I had a friend who LOVED the original webcomic and he used to praise it all the time. Looking forward to seeing more of it.

Ok I've finished listening to Epik High's discography. My top 3 is now Pieces, Part One, Shoebox and Epilogue. Others are solid aswell, but these 3 stood out the most for me.
