Nobody ever WANTS to remember his name. And sometimes for good reason. On at least 2 out of the 3 routes I've finished, Hisao was kind of a whiny bitch.

I do think this is where having different writers for each route hurts the game. There's a lack of consistency between the routes as well as varying quality.

I can't get this game to run at fullscreen on my Macbook Pro. Any other Mac users having this problem?

I have no idea how Macs work, but did you try alt+enter? Full screen mode is kind of bad in this game unless you have a 4:3 monitor or can stand the stretch though.

Why is choosing to be a different person - and thus end up with a different relationship - considered to be a lack of consistency? It's a different story depending on the choices made in the end, you see the dude act differently and essentially becoming a different person, and he's liked by the people the different traits appeal to in that case. No? Haven't started playing yet, and I've never played a VN, just curious. Now having varying quality is certainly a problem.

Edit: unless that Hisao mentioned isn't the main character, then yeah, I guess the supporting cast should behave similarly regardless of your choices and only change how they feel about the main character...

Yeah, tried the normal shortcuts. The checkbox for fullscreen mode is grayed out too. Supposedly the engine has issues with Intel graphics, but I've got an 8800 in this so I don't think that's the issue.

If the stretch is really ugly, I may be better off as is.

Putting this game on my laptop was probably a bad idea as my productivity dropped but I finally saw all the bad ends/good ends along with the final piece in the gallery which is what I assumed it would be all along. Doing the Lilly bad end is what sealed it for me, somehow I had forgotten about it. But I did see variation in a couple of other bad endings which doesn't make them as "bad" which was neat.

Also I think Hanako has a better ending in Lilly's route.

Really had fun with this VN though, can't wait to check out other ones.

Set your scaling to aspect ratio and your GPU will add the needed black bars by itself instead of expect the game to do that.

You must have set your monitor or GPU to ignore aspect ratio or something, because the game doesn't stretch in fullscreen for me.

Even after I finish Lily's route I still need to get the bad ends for half the routes... a frightening route.

I kind of wish that Hanako's bad end was integrated into her story proper in the same that one of Rin's is.

Wow, what a surprise! I can't say I was expecting much from this project, but I was pleasantly surprised that this clearly wasn't designed to be fap material. Really professional quality here, with some stuff you don't even see in JP VNs often if at all. Good music too.

As for the story itself, I actually related to Hisao's situation a lot more than I expected, as I've been in a relationship where the girl I loved simply wouldn't open up to me. In fact, some of Emi's lines were painfully close to things I've heard before. I think it ended well and I like the fact that it wasn't about Hisao 'fixing' Emi, but rather a two way road of mutual support. Both characters grew a lot through the story and I was moved overall.

I hope more people get past the odd premise and their expectations of it being porn with disabled people. There's some really good stuff here and I'm looking forward to playing the other routes for sure.

Exactly. Most of the people trashing it are people who haven't played it at all, and if they did, they'd see how wrong their predispositions are.

Also I really liked Emi's route too. There were a couple ways they could've gone with the ending, but in the end, I thought what they did was fine, even though I saw it coming from a mile away. By doing that however, I thought they actually drew more attention to the relationship instead of the "why this?", which I felt was more important.

Pretty much every route in this story is a delicious subversion of anime character types and tropes.

Actually, I feel like it really helps. It lets each girl's route feel different and realistic, and his interaction shapes his personality in a very vulnerable and formative time of his life. I just wish they went a bit more neutral in Hisao's personality for each arc. At the least it would have been less banal with some of his more silly problems. But hey, he's still in high school. What can one expect...

Yeah, no kidding. I've always realized that of this genre though. The verbosity of the medium allows for them to develop and explore themes that other games would merely gloss over, it can definitely make for some emotionally affecting stuff. I think I've landed on Rin's path, pretty devious how you get to her.... Anyways, gotta steel myself for more feels, I'm sure this game can eke some tears out of me if it manages to press just the right buttons, I've certainly experienced my fair share of similar instances over the years

I finished the lily route and now I am sad. I got the good ending, but the moments leading up to it bummed me out.

I don't think I am suited for these sorts of things, if they are all this depressing at times. I don't feel all that manly anymore.

It's just a matter of preference and what people enjoy. Also, personal experience might add to level of enjoyment and being able to relate to the plot. I will say though that I now find Hanako's to be my least enjoyable after doing the other ones.

Honestly, if you have time I'd just go through all of them, it's mostly 3-4 hours for each and you can save pretty much save anywhere along the story and get a text history to catch up if you forget exactly how you got to that point. I think to a certain extent all of them are worth it. You'd probably take something different from each route especially given the nature of how it was written with the routes being written by different authors.

in terms of swelling up my emotions, Rin's route so far is the best out of the ones i played. I wake up, go on gaf, see this thread, and remember about her. The lingering sadness just starts coming back. Must not falter, got two more routes to do
